Official Word From The Club On Supporter Section

I've brought up the fact NYCFC was very silent early on and people were cool with that. Now everyone wants 'transparency' which I don't fault people for. But I don't see the club suddenly releasing statements every week.

Does Wahl et al need NYC to release a statement just because it was confirmed that YS policies are exactly the same as they were yesterday? FFS, I can;t wait for some games so this minutia isn't all we ever have to discuss.

1 person being sarcastic. Calm your tits.

I don't think there should be any blame right now. This was the case from the get go. The FO at least got some thing by. I know they were fighting to try to get things in themselves and have them waiting for the supporters section (drums/banners/flags). So I know They did put up a fight.
At the end of the day the powers that be drew a line.

Why are we going to be the only ground in MLS that can't participate or create their own fan culture? Yankee Stadium is a fucking mall at this point. Generic white bread sit in your seats quietly and golf clap when we score. Complete nonsense.

So, just to make sure I'm on the same page, I can bring my 5'x3' flag to Yankee Stadium (because it's less than 6') and hold it, but I cannot put it on a stick/PVC pipe and wave it around or attach it to any surface in the stadium to display it during the match? Why do hundreds (if not thousands) of other stadiums around the world allow this but not Yankee Stadium? Sticks/PVC pipes with a flag attached cannot possibly be a matter of national security, right?

Because Yankee Stadium is for the Yankees. Some of the soccer people here forget we share a stadium with one of the, if not the most, famous franchise(s) in the world. This is their cathedral. We're renting space for a few years. You're not going to see banners hung from any edifice. I happen to agree with the Yankees on this.

FYCS

There is not even a shred of surprise here. The only surprise is that they even made minor concessions. It's not NYCFC's fault at all. Unfortunately just the norm for attending sporting events in this town.

Yankee apologist right there at it's best. We were promised a football environment by NYCFC and the Yankees pushed back. For all the people who complained about MCFC where are there voices now complaining. We were just told to shut up and sit down but it's ok that it's the Yankees. Fuck that. Every other club in MLS can rock out but we can't.

Anybody want to take a guess as to which web page this came from? Shouldn't be too hard.
