Orlando Postmatch

I doubt it but wonder if Villa saw the "no history" graffiti and then in his post game interview intentionally mentioned how NYCFC "made history" by beating them in their new stadium. He's a witty banter guy so I wouldn't put it past him.
It is amusing that Orlando will forever remember that their first home loss in the stadium was to NYCFC. That's gotta be a painful kick to their nuts.

I'd say it's a lot more likely that he heard the 10 min long constant chant of "NYCFC you ain't got no history you are ???? you are ????" that rained down towards the end of the match (??? parts to me sound like they are saying bitches but I'm not sure). Not sure if it's just how they have the supporters section miked but their chants sound loud, clearly audible, uniform and almost stadium wide on the broadcasts.

Thanks for the confirmation, that's what I thought I heard but I couldn't imagine it would be that pathetically stupid. Once again I've underestimated the level of trashy idiocy that fans base is capable of.

Thanks wasn't sure id heard that part right. Pretty sure I also heard the "tree, rope, ref" chant after we got awarded the PK. Tremendously classy on both counts Orlando.

It's only taken 3 years and they literally have no competition for trashiest fan base in the league. It also seems like their front office completely embraces it. They've essentially said come down and spew whatever vile non-sense you want we'd love to have you. Seems fairly short sighted, how long till the loose most of the families because they don't want their kids exposed to it?

It's Orlando, so that exposure is part of the family culture. seriously, it's a very redneck area, and I'm not alluding to simply sunburn on one's shoulders.

I'd like to get out own hose in order,
Agreed, but there's a difference between inappropriate juvenile banter and hate speech. I'm not sure where beer is involved the juvenile chants can be stopped. Hate speech professing physical harm should never be started in society.

It's sort of surprising they draw so well though considering you'd sort of expect them to be in the "Soccer is unamerican" or for sissies kind of mindset down there.

College football is king for the older crowd, but Soccer is a monster sport all over the state with kids. Every city has travel team soccer clubs and the scholastic league for high school is very competitive. It's why I think the state could really support three clubs (except that Miami doesn't really support anything other than The U).

Here you go.

Sorry, this was a stupid post.

I can only imagine what Wallace said to Stertzer laughing with his hand cupped after the third goal as you see in the Behind the Scenes. I also love the crushed look on Kreis' face when he weakly shook PV's hand after the game and didn't seem to even say anything to him.
I'm just watching the video today because I was traveling yesterday. The Wallace-Stertzer thing is off, just slightly so, but still weird, coming in the middle of a group/hug celebration. would not have noticed if you hadn't noted it.
I liked the Wallace -White celebration after Ethan fed Rodney with the cross for goal #2. For some reason White didn't join the group celebration, and Wallace noticed and motioned to him, then they met up and had a nice jump/moment together.
Kreis was a sourpuss at the end but the Vieira-Kreis interaction before the game seemed legitimately friendly on both sides, more than just civility.
And was Patrick wearing a purple tie? Kreis said something about it and it was hard to tell in the light but I think it was.
Awuah and Larin were friendly which had me scratching my head until I figured out they're both from the Toronto area.
Sweat had family at the game.
These BTS videos are really good.

There was also a weird Wallace and Okoli moment at the end of the game

If I'm not mistaken Awuah and Larin were also college teammates at UConn.

You do realize that their entire fanbase is made up of #floridaman and #floridawoman right?
