I don’t know how we are continuing to win with what looks like a lackluster lineup but we’re doing it and I couldn’t be happier. It’s quite ugly at times.

Another game coming up soon and hopefully some changes to the lineup and we see some fresh legs in there (Lewis/Berget/Shradi) in for TMac/Wallace.

I’m fine with switching three guys in for two.

So because we were talking about NYCFC win streaks-
twice before we have won four in a row. And it's really odd:
In 2017
MD 15: NYC 2 - 1 PHI
MD 16: NYC 2 - 1 SEA
MD 17: RB 0 - 2 NYC
MD 18: NYC 3 - 1 MIN
in 2016:
MD 16: NYC 3 -2 PHI
MD 17: SEA 0 - 2 NYC
MD 18: NYC 2 - 0 RB
MD 19: NE 0 - 1 NYC

For some reason we just like beating PHI and then SEA and then RB lol. When I first looked, I was so confused as to why the form guide wasn't refreshing.

This year our streak began on MD 18, and against different teams (Except RB ;) )

Saw an official sign (not SG) above their standing area titled:

“Never Hunt Alone”

They are trying way too hard to create a fan culture there.

3 points on the road is always a good thing, but that was not a pretty game. Play like that vs Seattle and I don’t think we get any points out of that game. Orlando hit the woodwork 3 (4?) times.

Folks mentioned how happy they'd be with Maxi going 10/10 this season and it looks like he may blow that away
If he’d held his run a split second longer, Lewis’ feed was perfect for his second goal.

But seriously, Maxi is making spectacular runs now like Villa did two years ago, and is razor-thin with repeatedly beating the defenses we’re facing. If he could just get his shooting straightened out, he’d have another 5-6 goals over the past 4 matches.

I sort of agree. But...

On a positive note, I’m not sure Seattle can score if we don’t play U3 or Walton because we will be much less likely to give it away so cheaply.

See Joe Smith (aka Mrs. U3), I am not negative.

This game just screams that we need to acquire a starter level midfielder that can slot in as an 8 or 10 in a pinch.

We won’t win MLS Cup if we don’t.

It’s almost at that level for left back, too. Sweat had a couple of strong games, but he was back to SSDD tonight.
