Parking/ Tailgating So Far

Only positive from tonight was that the ramp on 153rd Street going to the Southbound Deegan was open for the first time since 2015. It is by far the best option and cuts 5-15 minutes off my trip home. The reopening is so new that Waze was confused and had no idea where I was going.

On behalf of all NYCFC/Yankee fans I'd like to thank you for your trailblazing. You've shown Waze the way, so henceforth all may follow in your footsteps. Or tire tracks, as the case may be.

Note: I may only have posted this so I could get away with using the word henceforth on the forum. Maybe.

Yeah, Waze did figure it out when I was maybe 2/3 of the way along the ramp (it's a very long, twisty ramp) so I figure the algorithm that switches a road from closed to open kicked in and it should show up for future trips.

Gotham Gator Gotham Gator I went to park in the lot we have been discussing, "Ali's Lot" as it is known on google maps. Unfortunately it was closed yesterday, as there were a ton of what looked like new cars in the lot. Just figured I would warn you, not sure if a car dealership has bought out the lot, only uses it on certain days, or there was a special event for something going on. Since it was a weeknight, anything is possible in regards to the lot being opened or closed. Just thought I would let you know if you do decide to drive down to the lot on Saturday.

I will not be in attendance on Saturday, so if anyone does decide to try to use the lot, let me know if it is open.

Parked in Ali’s lot on Saturday. Looks like it may have been purchased by one of the big parking companies as there was new signage and a different person taking money who handed out receipts.

More importantly, the price is now up to $30. That’s still less than the $42 that the official Yankee garages charge, but it is all getting ridiculous.

The mall is still a few bucks cheaper!

What's street parking like in the area? Like if I drive in early enough, are there ever spots? Even if it's a few blocks away.

When I did post-game autographs a couple years ago (City Sendoff), there were plenty of spaces over by the Courthouse on Walton Ave. Had to park there since I might have been too late for the parking garages.

has anyone used the Harlem River Lot? if so, how much does it cost this year?

I used Ali's Lot the last two times and even though it's $30 cash and easy access to 87 South, my car was blocked in and had to wait for the other two cars ahead of me to leave

Bronx Terminal Market, $20 with the Parkwhiz app. Easy access to 87.

thanks for the tip! excuse my ignorance, as I've never used a parking app before, but how does it work? like do you pay on the app before you get to the lot or doesn't matter? as long as you show payment or whatever when you leave? and does it take a while to get out of the lot after the games?

It's cheaper using the app. I don't think you technically even have to buy it before you enter. You can park in the lot, then purchase the parking through the app, you just give your ticket and show you receipt on the app before you exit the garage.

I take 87 North getting out on the lower level and have never had to wait more than 2 minutes. It's very fast. I know the line getting out for 87S is the same line exiting onto River Ave and it usually looks a little longer but they also have more Lanes open.

It took about 10-15 minutes for me to get out after a packed Yankees game. Usually less than 5 after an NYCFC game. I prefer it because it is fairly secure and you have access to your car unblocked.

Yes. Exit 4 leads right to the road to access the Bronx Terminal Market lot, when heading northbound (coming from the south). Exit 6 if heading southbound (coming from the north).
How do I know where the terminal market is, there are big signs, or itsi barely noticeable? And then to get to 87 south from there is a left turn out of the lot?
