Not surprised at all, given our analysis in other threads. Citi for the knockout (if necessary), YS for the rest.

I’m guessing the start time is tbd, they just marked it as 4 pm cause that’s the time they have for Sunday’s match. It’ll be 7 or 8 pm, whatever espn/fox decides.

It looks like a knockout game will be played at Citi, probably only if the Yankees advance.

Best part of the article, Patricoff basically says, the Mets suck, so we may need to prepare for this in the coming years as well.

The knockout round games on Thursday are on ESPN/FS1 I believe -- not a chance in hell they start a playoff game that early for national TV. The time is just a placeholder.

Right, that's because MLB doesn't want two games going against each other. MLS doesn't have that problem. East game at 7, West game at 9 or 10, and you're home.

The mlb is the only pro sports league in America that does afternoon weekday playoff games, because of the nature of the sport (playing consecutive days, with very few off-days). All MLS playoff matches on weekdays will be at night.

That worked because the home team were on Pacific Time. What is Houston or Sporting KC are hosting in Central Time? A 10 PM ET start would not be great for the home teams.

Eastern conference will be 7, 7:30, or 8 depending on the time zone. Western conference will be about 2.5-3 hours after the east match. Chill.

What a joke of a club, if any team deserves to be moved to Austin it's NYCFC. And Columbus is moving because their stadium situation "is not suitable", yet NYCFC gets to make MLS look bush league by playing in a baseball stadium they don't even have the rights to. Joke of a team that should not have even been put in the league in the first place.

team was hated from day 1.....im not fazed by what fans of the rest of the league thinks.

I love this news. It’s controversy like this that will put pressure on the FO to pursue our new stadium, and not be satisfied with the status quo.

Damn....it's not easy getting WS tickets. Couldn't get through on the MC presale, now when I click search, it just does the loading toggle. I was hoping they might have a few seats left for the public and I could snatch one up right at the last minute, but no luck yet.
