Okay - I had more than one drink.
Anyway, I mentioned in this or the UCL thread that I think Liverpool had been hard done by refs quite often. When I saw the bias discussions elsewhere, it reminded me of this article.
Here's empirical proof, that playing for Liverpool or being foreign is bad. Seriously, whether you care about LFC or not, this is good stuff that's worth your time.

Damn, Burnley really makes every bill count. Lowest wage bill and punching as a solid #7 club in the table and 4th best goals allowed.
Edit: just realized that graphic is last season, so their wage bill probably went up, but still impressive.

Only way the weekend could have been better is if Soton didn’t totally lose their heads. What a disaster on their part.
Can I just ask, completely honestly and innocently, how does someone like Everton not just offer a boat load of money for Giroud and start him every game? He is so skillful and dominant in the box. It’s an indictment of the entirety of the league, excepting Spuds, Pool and City, that he’s a backup at Chelsea.
And here’s my smoldering hot take, just to make sure I piss off everyone who isn’t a Red:
DeBruyne or Eirikson, either one (but not both together), would be better at Liverpool, especially DeBruyne.
Could you imagine him with Gini/Milner/Hendo/Can feeding him balls and being his defensive legs while he could only worry about picking out one of three tireless runners coming in from all sorts of angles?
30 assists? 40 isn’t even out of the question, is it?
Plus, that beautiful ginger playmaker still loves us deep down. Damnit. I wish upon wish that would happen, even though there’s no shot whatsoever.
Add that to his defense of the bus incident, I’d say he’s ready to make his mark at Merseyside’s European football cathedral.
