Premier League 18/19

Two matches into the season is enough time to know Jose has to go.... kick him to the curb today and hire Zinedine Zidane.

It’s easy to forget that these players are still humans with human emotions. It’s weird that as a fan who has no personal connection to the guy, I have felt so bad for Fekir. Imagine working out all the details, doing your intro interview and photo shoot, being ready to get rolled out into a football cathedral for a team who just played in a UCL final, and the rug is just yanked out from under you.

It’s no wonder he’s having a rough go of it back at Lyon. I bet he wants to strangle the doctors who did his surgery.
His manager (and the only thing worth reading in the article)

"It is never easy accepting this kind of situation, when you are very near to signing for a club where you want to go," Genesio told reporters. "Where you want to reach another level and to give a boost to your career.

"But as I said, it could have been worse for him. He is at Lyon, at a strong club, he is captain of a team who plays in the Champions League."

Bournemouth corner leads to a Steve Cook bicycle kick saved spectacularly by Pickford, who volleys upfield finding Theo Walcott just as Walcott breaks past the Cherries' defense. Walcott immediately dragged down by Adam Smith, Adam Smith sent off, DOGSO red card.

Liverpool still can’t get a penalty call at home. Clear handball, uncalled.

Just documenting.

Jose getting sacked soon ?

Spurs legit contenders despite buying no one ?

Hyperbolic British media declaring Lucas Moura a flop mere weeks ago wonder what they say now ?

My theory is that Jose wants to get fired, rather than resign, so he can collect the remainder of his contract. I think he knows he lost the team last year, and he’s doing everything he can to expedite this process.

Does anyone here subscribe to the EPL pass thing on NBCsports online? Is there a way to get a list of every match they carry? I've been working Saturday's 8.30-6 since March so it definitely wasn't worth it for me but I'm changing jobs very soon so I might want to look into it..

I do. They send out an email late every week telling you which matches will be on Gold. I'm not sure if there's a comprehensive list... if I go to the site now and look at the 9/1 schedule they don't even list what's on this weekend yet.

I presume Everton are on there a lot making this somewhat of a no brainer for you. Televised games still seem to lean toward the traditional powers though of course they've added City to that list now.

Yeah, that's a big part of it. I was surprised that Everton's opening match of the season v Wolves was on regular ol' NBC. But a lot of their matches are Gold-only, yes. NBC has also committed to having at least... two?... of the Big Six's matches be exclusively on Gold throughout the season.
