Is it more difficult to stream to multiple places than just to one? Seems like if you get the signal to one place, you just amplify it out from there.

I admittedly have no idea how that works, but streaming at one location seemed more like a way to make people go to that place than anything else.

I think they just don't know how reliable the feed will be. Limiting it to one place to watch with an event around it makes it "worth it" even if the stream ends up being poor. I think now they have to get some janky setup together to be able to stream it and I'm sure that "we" will then complain about the low production value of the stream that "we" demanded.

I don't know why they didn't make it broadly available at first. I don't really care.

I'm assuming they're not convinced they can get the video working in any reliable capacity, so by holding an event they could entertain the fans at the bar even if the broadcast doesn't work.

Well, now I'm kind of annoyed I used city points to reserve a place at the bar, so there was that additional unintended consequence of waiting.

It's still a great trade. 1500 points for all you can eat tacos and all you can drink Heineken? I'll roll with it. I don't use my points that much anyway so if I don't use them on opportunities like this, I'm unlikely to use them at all.

First time I've ever used them.

Wait - nope. I used like 100 or 250 or whatever the hell for a "signed player card" of Maxi, which turned out to be on copy paper stock and didn't even make it home.

ETA: not arguing with the value, but I probably wouldn't go if I had known it would be available elsewhere.
