I'm Around
Dear Members,

This Sunday we return to Pink Cow Arena to hopefully notch a win in the season series. Please review this plan and call to action thoroughly so that we can be a well-oiled machine on Sunday.

As you’re already aware, we had some sanctions handed down by MLS and Pink Cows that greatly restrict our typical game day experience. We have NO exemptions for this match. I repeat, there are ZERO exemptions. No flags of any kind, no banners of any kind, no streamers, ticker tape, confetti or others projectiles, no beach balls, no instruments of any kind and, of course, no smoke bombs, flares or other pyrotechnics. If you violate their policies and are caught, you will be arrested!

As I read through the list, I saw that we are allowed to bring food into the stadium. The directive reads exactly:

- Food is permitted into Red Bull Arena. Any outside food must be in a clear 12” x 12” x 3” gallon sized bag or smaller for inspection with all items inside being visible.

- One sealed non-alcoholic beverage of less than 20 ounces may also be brought in (seal will be broken and cap taken before entering Arena).

My call to action is to respond to Pink Cow sanctions with your money. Don’t give it to them! Bring your own food and a drink to the stadium in a clear bag at or below their dimension requirements. It’s legal and it’s a powerful way to make a statement without tarnishing the NYCFC supporter brand. Don’t spend a dime in their arena and it will be noticed. Can you imagine All 500+ of us not walking out to the concourse at half time and having our own “block party” right in our section? That’s a strong visual and I believe it would have a major impact.

For those traveling to the arena with us on the PATH train:

We will be meeting at Lilly O’Brien’s 18 Murray St. New York, NY 10007 at 2 pm. We will leave from here at 4:00 pm and walk to the PATH station at World Trade. We should arrive in Harrison at 4:47 pm.

For those traveling to the arena by other modes:

We will be meeting at the entrance/exit of Harrison Station around 4:47 pm and organizing our march to the stadium. If you do not wish to participate in the march to the stadium, please meet us in the North Lot in front of gate C1.

I would like to see as many NYCFC supporters as possible on the march to the stadium. Stay close to each other, look out of each other and BRING THE NOISE!

FULL LIST OF PROHIBITED ITEMS:

- Weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, concealed weapons and firearms

- Fireworks of any kind including, but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices and pyrotechnics.

- Illegal drugs or harmful chemicals

- Any missile or projectile like object, ie. Streamers.

- Aerosol cans or pressurized containers

- Selfie sticks, professional camera equipment; tripods, battery packs, large commercial video cameras

- Laser pointers

- Remote controlled aircraft or unmanned aircraft systems (drones)

- Pets or animals of any kind (with the exception of service animals).

- Water guns, toy/replica weapons, squirt bottles, soap bubbles, etc.

- Beach balls, frisbees, confetti, balloons, brooms, skateboards, roller blades, skates, etc.

- Bottles, cans, coolers, containers.

- Any other items deemed to be inappropriate or dangerous by the club or venue management.

- Prohibited items discovered during inspections at the Arena entrances must either be returned to owner’s vehicle or discarded. The Arena will not provide a storage area for these items. Unlawful items that are discovered during security inspections are subject to confiscation and the person in possession of those items subject to arrest. Guest arriving by mass transit must take particular caution not to bring any prohibited items, as no exceptions will be made.

Already a step ahead of you. Didn't buy tickets to the game.

Sanctions were the icing on the cake of a 4 hour round trip ride from Queens. I'll be skipping all future trips to RBA unless driving.

R roxfontaine Do you know what time RBA will allow the visiting supporters to enter on Sunday? 5:30pm?

Best response!

Boycott that stupid arena and just push the measage to have all nycfc fans watch at home or in partner pubs. Thats sends a stronger message then giving them out money.

You don't think the team might benefit from having our fans there? Maybe I'm just being naïve.

No i dont think its naive at all. I think playing at home with all your fans cheering and making noise helps. But do I think that having 500 to 1000 loud fans make that much of a difference for professional soccer players? Sorry but I don't believe so.

Do they apreciate the support absolutely but if our backline can give Saunders 90+ minutes of solid smart defending, we will be ok.

For the record I think we should all support nycfc when they are on the road. But, NJRB have clearly targeted our fans so I support a movement to never spend a single dollar in that stadium and for that team.

Just my opinion.

Disagree.

If you watched Robles at the last derby turning back to his supporters and waving them on to make more noise you'd see that they notice and that it matters to them. Are the pros who should still play at a high level? Yes. But their fans do pump them up. I'd even argue that the effect can be even more dramatic when they are away, hearing taunts from the home crowd, and then hear their own supporters break through that noise.

The issue of whether we should boycott anyway is separate. But I don't think we should boycott on the grounds that our voices at RBA wouldn't mean anything to our team.

why blame anyone but the idiots who believe smoke bombs are a constitutional right?
Completely agree. The only reason there are bans is because of the smoke being thrown. And it's the same at Yankee Stadium. I love the smoke, but it's hurting our cause.

Agree Whole heartedly with using the power of the purse, and I also agree with FootyLovin FootyLovin point that fans presence does has a psychological effect too. I urge all of you that are going to not spend a pretty penny even if you are thirsty or starving to death, and be the loudest most obnoxious and stick to your guns ( lol not literally - don't want any one to be arrested)
