RB Postmatch

What is the point of VAR?

RJ Allen straight up pushes BWP into the fucking post, no review.

Muyl has a pure handball in the box, no VAR.

Both of these situations are exactly the reason VAR was introduced in the first place, if VAR is fucking this up why did we bother in the first place?

Whatever, I am happy with a tie. Yeah, I guess it sucks we couldn't keep the lead, but considering how much pressure we sustained, I'm happy. And road point is never a bad thing in this league.

RJ needs to get himself under control. Makes some great passes, will totally give him that, but he also seems to think he is playing hockey and is contantly putting his arms on people, or just checking them into the post.

Can't complain too much on the missed PKs, since there was one on each side, but I can complain how one sided the calls felt, and the cards.

Brillant and Ring are my MOTMs. Both were great.

Sucks we could barely get Villa involved. If he had scored on that shot, I am pretty sure I would have completely lost it

Also, Muyl is a little bitch

A lot to not like tonight but overall it feels more like job well done to me. We defended Brilliantly (pun somewhat intended) remember when the consensus was that Fredric sucked? I still Chanot and Callens is the optimum pairing but it's gonna be tough to sit Brillant. We have three above average MLS center backs now after so long with none now if we can only do the same with the fullbacks...

PK situation was ridiculous of the 3 possible calls (RJ smashing BWP, The handball on Villa's header, and RJ taking down Little Finger) the only one given was probably the least deserving, God MLS refs suck.

I have a solution. Go back to the Chanot-Brillant pairing and put Callens at left back because he's probably the best attacker on this team not named Villa. Or next year switch to a back three which is much more likely.

They talked about it a couple of weeks ago on Soccer in the City but one of the reasons Brillant and Callens, and of course Chanot and Callens have been working so well together is Callens is a left sided, and left footed CB. Chanot has to play on his less preferred side when he plays with Brillant.

Kinda crazy but we had the better chances tonight. I don't count hitting the bar as a better chance because fundamentally the ball isn't a scoring shot - the bar just happens to be wide enough to register a deflection. That said, BWP and Villa should have had PKs but Little Finger didn't deserve one, he went down far to easy with minimal contact; if Maxi doesn't get regular foul calls when tossed, then LF doesn't deserve on for a PK.

Felt like Sweat played an amazing game of D really limiting chances from that side. Rarely did I feel like the danger was coming from there.

Wallace looks almost as tired as Jack. I think Wallace came back to soon to playing big minutes and is now suffering a bit. Jack's almost hit the point of total shutdown with dead legs - he again looked exhausted in the first 30minutes. It's really time to start trusting Lewis to start and let Jack come off the bench when defenders are as tired as he is.

I think without White, who's probably done for the year if it was a pop, I'd feel better playing three at the back rather than relying on RJ/Lopez at RB. The Trialist needs to be better than we fear.

I really really pray we don't limp into the playoff with any more injuries and dropped points from a makeshift defense. And dammit, our midfield doesn't work without Hererra, Ring, and Maxi all playing together.

Think we almost have to sign that English that was on trial just for another warm body in defense at this point?

Also enough can't be said about the heroic defensive performance tonight (even if many other things were left wanting) it took a PK for Jersey to score despite all their possession it rarely looked like they were going to score from open play. Our tackling was excellent though I do wish more of our clearances ended up with more than one or two passes before giving up possession again.

Can I just say fuck Taylor Twellman. In I think the 40th minute Ring made a tackle and Twellman said "good tackle from Ring although he hasn't made much of an impact." HE WAS MY MAN OF THE MATCH
Twellman also said Ring has proven he can finish right after Ring sent his 17th shot over the crossbars and into the upper deck this season.

He's honestly worse than Lalas. At least Lalas can get over a bad call. When he mentioned the missed hand ball I was pissed more because I knew Twellman would start bitching for the rest of the game..

THANK YOU. Twellman is the worst commentator in sports. Can't stand him.
