As I said to a RBNJ friend after the game, "at least you still have 2 things: 7-0 and a regulation pitch."

That's literally it. They have nothing else on us any more.

Not much we can do about the pitch size, but we can take 7-0 back from them.

I suggest the fine folks in the supporter's section put their heads together and come up with a chant that takes 7-0 and reclaims it for City. If we adopt a 7-0 chant, reclaim it and make it our own, they will have nothing.

It's like if Ranger fans started their own 1940 chant in the early 90s just to F with the Islander fans.

Get to it, people cleverer than me!

The City Remembers?

It was the Redbull Wedding. And we've come for our revenge. I kept screaming at littlefinger that Sansa was going to take his head last night, shame it didn't come true.

Give it a Villa spin, with the theme along the lines of "you can have your 7-zero because we have our 7 hero" and sing about how number seven is our favorite number because it is the number of David.

I don't know about you, but I am not bothered by either of those things. I'm no zen master, but one is the past, and one is such a small, petty detail that it screams desperation and I'd actually laugh if its mentioned to try an taunt us.

10 years from now if someone brings up, oh well remember that time we beat you 7-0, i'd be like okay, and remind me how that season ended for you? did you win a championship? No, ok.

That was my point as well. All they have to cling to are two stupid things: a game from the past that had no laying significance and something as stupid as the pitch size!

But even though it's did, they still going to it, so I want to take it away!

We have a regulation pitch. Not sure what the big deal is.
stadium is Yankee stadium right, how does the baseball ground feel in terms of how it plays , I watched the derby on Monday for me (no sound was in a lecture) and it looked fine enough in terms of the pitch and atmosphere wise does it feel different?

Occasionally, you will see some players slip, but that's pretty rare and happens less often these days, I think.

The size is regulation, but the minimum regulation (110 x 70). Some people think that affects the game a great deal, but I don't see it.

I think the turf and pitch size are things people glom onto in order to bitch or advance a particular agenda or fit some preconceived notion of their own. Any impact is very small, IMO.

yeah I did notice a few people slipping during the derby, could be worse some of the pitches down here have had rugby played on them the night before or afl. Also haven't been following long any reason why you had to play at yankee stadium nowhere else viable or are CFG putting up the money to develop or construct a new stadium.

Ha? There's a stadium thread here that is 47 million posts long discussing it in full, and repetitively. Short answer is that space that size in NYC in a location with decent transport options is not just expensive but rare, and then politicians and community opposition can tie you up indefinitely unless you properly grease the wheels.

This is problematic. Problematic in this small instance but in general too. This is a bit of a dumping on you but this is just a viewpoint.

I see that you are new to the team and new to this forum. That is fine. You are welcomed and encouraged to join in the fray we have going on here.

However, you have to put in some effort. The same way we, as a whole fanbase, get constant shit about what we are assumed to not know, understand or appreciate is the same way our developing culture should be approached. Put in the time and learn. Of course, asking questions is learning but shrugging off direction as something you "can't be fucked about" is weak.

While I agree with your post, I don't wish any newbie to go down the rabbit hole that is the stadium thread. That is the one thread that depresses me to no end and do my best to avoid at all costs

It's not like I have come here talking shit just asking about a stadium to a guy who was responding at the time. Cause to me its insane to be playing on a baseball field don't think I have ever played or watched baseball (for more then a few mins) in my life and I was sure the ground would be too small.

Now that we have a much better Goalie 7 and 0 won't likely happen again ! That was the craziest shit i'v ever seen . I didn't think too highly of Saunders before that but that just ended any point of respect i could have even though he took time at the end of games to greet fans and do that cheer thing . They will always have this on us .

It's not too small. For you, it's insane to be playing in a baseball stadium. For us, it's insane to have a team playing in NYC.
