Red Bull Fans Trying To Justify Their Location

I think he was implying the island and not being connected to the rest of ny. Last time I checked manhattan was an island also.

No offense to any jersey people, but I've never heard any New Yorker say they live in the "metro" area. It's always the actual boro.
When talking to someone from the city I refer to my boro. When talking to someone that is not native to the metro area, I refer to where I live as NY Metro. because the metropolitan area includes north eastern Jersey, Yonkers, south eastern CT and western Nassau.

The 'NY' Red Bulls always rubbed me the wrong way. If they wanted to be NY then they should be in NY. No offense to anyone. The Giants and Jets are different in that they were NY teams that now play across the river and rep the whole area.

Red Bulls are trying to be something they are not. After they became NY, and then that hokey Red Bulls name and goofy uniform...I just waited for the right opportunity and behold: NYCFC. Owned by two of my fav teams in other leagues.
