Rumor: McNamara for Saad Abdul-Salaam

Think one aspect of it is that Whitey and Sweaty are defenders first and foremost, like center halves converted to play full back, where as Mata is a full back..... who wants to play as a winger.

Our system and different games will call for both cautious and all-out performances, so it's good to be able to mix it up.
Probably so, but I'm quite happy this season not feeling like the back 4 & goalkeeper all lead secret lives as professional matadors.

Hey JGarrettLieb JGarrettLieb you asked me on the shout box if I'm gonna stay with this team when Andrea's gone ? Well for the most part Andrea's gone at this point ! But if this Organization tops Tommy my decision will be an easy one ! I am beyond pissed about how they've treated him this year ! We have Batman you don't get rid of Robin Stupids ! If Americans find foreign players hard to deal with . Why the Fuck would we ship off our American boy's to God Knows Where?? The MLS is American . If it wants to be filled with outsiders then it BETTER FOLLOW the Rules set by everyone but us and be deregulated to B or C class when it doesn't produce !! This is how I feel . What are your thoughts ? Thanks !!!:)

My thoughts are as follows,

1. Why has your grammar regressed, you were doing so well.
2. You are loyal to the people who comprise the organization known as a sports team. Therefore you likely root for several teams in any given sport, or at least change your team loyalty every few years.
3. I am loyal to the organization that is the sports team.

On a more granular level, we should sell TMac because he has value elsewhere that is greater than the value he provides here. This is due to

1. The best look we can give teams is with Herrera.
2. Herrera playing puts Pirlo on the bench.
3. TMac is an offensive substitute for Pirlo. Which is irrelevant going forwards because we aren't really going to have to manage Pirlo's minutes, because he's going to be riding the bench.
4. Having a substitute for a bench player, who can start elsewhere is a misallocation of resources.
5. TMac is no longer cheap and cheerful at $60k a year, he's pulling down $160k and you cant have a player making that much who doesn't even make the bench in this league. Its a slightly cheaper Jason Hernandez all over again. Except we can actually sell TMac for value instead of being forced to wait out the contract.

Thanks ! Theses are good points and and are educationable. My thing as you know is my heart that's me I'll never change . I quess you view things different as a guy . All the points and facts one gives me helps me to understand things in a practicle sence . But all that means nothing when I'm thinking of someones Mother who has to say goodby to her boy that should'nt be leaving . No one seems to think of the emotinal cost to family's or adress it. If I can get the facts and the figures of the game in the practicle sence for a better understaning then why can't people get the facts and figures on a human sense ? I can't look at people as a spread sheet . But hey if that's how one sees it than it is what it is . There's a Metalica song off the Black album called Sad But True . I hope my grammar was better ! There's a song by KISS from their first album called Deuce the first line is Get Up and Get Your Grammer Out Of Here ! I wanted to leave you with that . Thanks !!

Seriously? These guys are professional athletes who make a lot of money doing the thing they love most in this world. Having to leave home is really a non-issue. Guys do it all the time. Think of someone like Pulisic going to Germany at 16(IIRC). Tommy will be fine. If anything, he'll probably even be glad since it will give him an opportunity to be on the pitch more, and potentially earn a bigger payday for himself.

If not wanting to hurt a guy's feelings....or better yet, the feelings of his parents/family by sending their boy away from home - and it prevents you from making a move that would help your team - you probably shouldn't be in this business.

dude, I wrote up something like what you said and deleted it cause I couldn't find a nice way to say it. Despite my normal self I don't want to be mean in these forums. But shit I can't take people shedding tears for professional sports players. These guys play a child's game and get paid for it. If their biggest worry in life is getting traded away from family and friend then la-di-fucking-da they have a good life. Cry for a guy who is picking strawberries in the blazing sun a thousand miles from his family getting paid 1/10th what McNamara makes. That's s guy to cry over.

Must have been the first post you've read. Notice, no regulars replied. Some things just aren't worth the effort.

the kid was in LA for a couple (injured i think for months for a serious injury i forgot what is was though) of years before he came here. He will be alright

Jesus, I like the guy, but how many MLS teams does he start for? The next tweet he says TMac is one of the top young american #10s in MLS. When has he played at the #10 in MLS?

How many teams does he start for? Seriously? He started for this one until PV made pace changes across the board. He could start at any number of teams in MLS.

As for the second question: that's the point the guy is making. Mac is definitely a 10 that's not playing as a ten. His nickname is "Tubby Messi" even.

OK, name a team in the east that he walks in and starts for.
