Thanks, appreciate the response and glad to hear he's doing well. Seems like the passing vision is his strongest attribute, he was hitting some nice through balls the handful of times I've seen him. Our national team could use a player who can pick a pass so hopefully he continues to develop along those lines.

Rangers continue their 100% record in the league with a 0-4 victory over Greenock Morton today away from home, Waghorn hat-trick and A brilliant Tavernier goal. Now 9 points clear. Scored 45 goals in 12 games, conceded 8.

3-1 victory for Rangers at home to second placed Falkirk today. Tight game with some very dubious decisions from the ref to say the least. 9 wins out of 9 and beat every team in the league and now a quarter of the way through the season.

Here's the goals:

TWF Dundee United sitting bottom of the league having sacked waster manager Jackie McNamara. It's going to be a great year

Big Mixu is in the house!!!

After the two week intermission because of Internationals, Rangers make it 10 league wins from 10 with a 2-1 victory over a well organised QOTS side. Brilliant end to the game with waghorn missing a penalty in the 88th minute and scoring the winner in the 90th. Ibrox was bouncing at that point. Game on tuesday v Livingston at Ibrox in the petrofac cup quarter final

Halfway through the season and.............. nothing to see here, move along folks...

Dundee and Celtic are rumored to be playing a future league game in the United States.

It's not Dundee and Celtic specifically - the clubs themselves do not have the authority to move their matches, especially to another country. The SPL itself has been considering a 39th step for a few months now, though, and since Celtic and Dundee are two of the biggest clubs in the league it's natural that they are some of the clubs people are speculating about doing the travelling.

Of course, it's hugely unpopular with the fans, but who cares about the fans when there's profit to be made?

The story that I read said that team executives from Dundee and Celtic were meeting to decide whether or no they would submit a request to the SPL about playing a league match in the United States.

The Scottish fans might not like this idea, but i can guarantee that thousands of American Celtic and Dundee fans are going to enjoy the heck out of this game. Especially if they would never be able to attend a match in Scotland.

No doubt, but you come back to the ultimate question: which is more important? Fan service for the foreign legions or keeping the league balanced and respecting the native fans whose family have supported their clubs for generations - the fans to whom the club really belongs?

Celtic is by far the biggest and best club in Scotland's top flight with the absence of Rangers. I don't think having them play a game in the US is going to throw off non-existent league balance and parity.

Wouldn't you also want to give fans in the United States a chance to see their favorite team play live? I understand that Celtic and Dundee should cater to their Scottish fans above all else, but their will be plenty of other games in Scotland. For many of the fans in the USA it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to see their favorite team play live. It might also be the only opportunity some of the players get to visit the USA.

*FACTCHECK*

Unlikely that Dundee have more than a few dozen fans outside of Dundee.

Biggest is a relative term. With all due respect to Scotland, I don't think any team outside of Rangers and Celtic have more than a few dozen fans outside of their home towns. However, the few dozen Dundee fans outside of Dundee are still ever-so-slightly more than the likes of Partick or Caley Thistle have outside of their home towns, so the Dundee clubs still get to qualify as some of the biggest clubs in Scotland.

Besides, if you want to argue that Dundee have no foreign-based fans then all it really does is strengthens my point that the justification for playing league games outside of the country is just not good enough.

I don't see the problem with playing one game outside of Scotland every so often in order to go be fire in fans a chance to see their favorite team play. Plus, It's a moneymaker for both teams and it's great for league exposure.

I'd argue that certainly Hibs and Hearts and quite likely Aberdeen and even Dundee United have hundreds of fans outside of their towns, but that's basically a diffferent point.

Kilmarnock, Ross County, Hamilton, Dundee, Partick - all likely to be represented by those you see at the ground and few more.

Basically, this game is for Celtic, as are so many other things that are done in Scotland. Rangers died a few year ago and The Rangers are trying to fill the void and hope no one notices, but they're not there yet. People outside of Scotland only know Celtic and The Rangers, so this would only serve to increase interest in what the Scottish media cover - "Celtic and some other team".

Seems like a strange one that - must be a guy whose career is already on the out. He had a great few seasons with The Rangers and seemed to be a really good full back on either side, good with both feet too. The Rangers aren't known for making smart decisions, but this does seem like they don't see a place for him in their team. Expect him to run up at Bournemouth or Middlesbrough in a couple of years.

Back after a long absence lads, for no particular reason either lol.

Couple of things:

Rangers now 15 clear of Falkirk at the top of the Championship with 8 games remaining, Falkirk lead Hibs by 2 points in second spot.

Celtic and Aberdeen locked in a title race in the premiership (LOL, celtic manage to make a one horse race a two horse one) 1 point between them with celtic having a game in hand.

Jock, you'll be glad to know that since our creation in 1872 Rangers have always been referred to as 'The Rangers', an of late, the decisions both on and off the park have been exceptional to say the least. The same can't be said about your wee club eh haha ;)

Also, the idea that only Rangers and Celtic can draw big crowds elsewhere isn't true, (although Rangers and Celtic have millions of fans globally, incomprehensibly bigger than anything else in scotland) Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen, and to a lesser extent Dundee United and Dundee, can also draw pretty large crowds. The likes of Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Partick Thistle used to have big supports but no one turns up to watch the utter dross on display anymore.

And the biggest news: Old Firm semi final of the scottish cup. 17th April. Will be a belter.
