That's a better solution for them than Belmont would have been for us.

In comparing the two, Gillette is kind of like playing in Long Island. It's not accessible from the Northern Suburbs or New Hampshire, unlike a Celtics or Sox game. Their attendance, inwould imagine, comes from the South Shore and Rhode Island. If anyone has ever tried to get to Gillette before, you know it's easier to get to RedBull Arena than Gillette.

Not sure if anything new.

"Populous’ soccer portfolio of D.C. United’s new Audi Field, National Training and Coaching Development Center (Sporting KC), Providence Park (Portland Timbers), Allianz Field (Minnesota United in 2019) and NYCFC’s proposed stadium accounts for nearly $1 billion in overall financial commitments."

Think it is. Don’t believe they ever admitted to being the architects for our eventual stadium. Even though we figured it out from the survey renderings and their office opening.

I think the DC Stadium is in the $100-150M range. SKC is probably closer to $25-50M. Providence Park is just an extension so let's say $25-50M. Allianz Field I'd say $150-250M. Even on the high end of my range, that leaves $500M minimum for NYCFC's stadium.

Nice find! And well done on the extra research on financial commitments

Audi Field construction costs according to Wikipedia: $180-195 million

Allianz Field: $200 million

Providence Park expansion: $50 million

Training Center: $80 million

Still leaves roughly $450 million for NYCFC. I would think it would be the most expensive soccer stadium built in North America.

Absolutely shocked

I don't know what or who to believe anymore.

I do believe the financial commitment is massive.

There wont be any new stadium for the Revs. Not in Boston, Providence or Mars.

They use this ruse every year to keep interest.

NYCFC seem to be playing the same game...............

Absolutely right, until the Krafts get out of the sports business and possibly sell the Revs separately from the Pats, the Revs are playing in Gillette until the Pats need a new stadium.

The big difference for NYCFC is that it probably (we don't know the specifics of the YS agreement, but I'm sure it's expensive) makes economic sense to build a new stadium as opposed to staying in YS long term. Therefore, I believe CFG is not blowing smoke and fully intends to build a stadium as soon as a viable opportunity presents itself.
