I don't really think geopolitics are a major obstacle to our stadium. Have you seen the kind of people who own New York real estate?
The kind of people who own New York real estate and would like to build something else on Willets Points will spin whatever negative story to try to stop a deal. We have already seen "grassroots" opposition groups opposing stadiums since before NYCFC was announced.

FWIW

Nick's around the organization a lot and said last year that NYCFC might make an announcement by the end of the 1st quarter of 2018. Not sure if he's just banking on his own prognostication.

The most annoying thing about a stadium announcement would be having to look through the thread to see what page we all wagered the announcement would come by. #stadiumproblems

Fine.. Go on every cable news show and tell them how you refuse to take take the time to look this up, and how nobody can make you, least of all the moderators, and you don’t care what happens, and if the moderators threaten to remove your posting privileges, or even ban you, you’ll just laugh.... but you’re not gonna search for something through thousands of posts that you feel are personal messages.

Not really sure what just happened here. But curling is on ESPN 3 right now. And there’s coffee cups on the ice.

You obviously didn’t watch any news yesterday.

How has this thread not gotten ecstatic that the associate editor (or something like that) of ARCHITECTURE DIGEST was some honorary something before the game last night?
