Please please PLEASE stop talking politics that do not directly affect the club/league.

Zilch, nada, nothing..... unless there are mass riots going on in the streets and the post is to either advise us to lock our doors or to pick up our pitch forks to join in. And even then, think twice before posting.

You're right Ulrich, I'm sorry.

Soooo moving back to pointless musings about stadium nonsense which means nothing in the grand scheme of things--do you think the stadium will have a David Villa Plaza? (this is definitely not an attempt to veer the conversation nope)

I cannot recall if we ever talked about the interior design of the stadium. Do you guys have any preferences? Whatever design they implement, I hope that the second tier isn't too far up from the field. I currently sit in section 205, in the first row, which is widely considered one of the best seats in the house. That view has just the right amount of balance between the distance from the field and height. I would want that for the new stadium. I am certainly not going to afford the lower section, so it would suck if the second tier is too far up.

(yes this is my attempt to steer the discussion back to the stadium.)

Can’t guarantee anything, but it’s a safe bet that any stadium we build in the city will have a steeper second tier than YS, because we’re gonna be jammed-up with tight dimensions of the lot/parcel of land.

Steeper would be very imposing for visiting teams... I'm all for a steep incline, even at the expense of my preference. Though, if the site is Willets Point, that would not be the case, but the certainly in the Bronx.

I think I want an arena-style atmosphere. Feel close to the action, lots of lights, loud music. Light shows when we score. Neon exterior a la Radio City Music Hall.

Pretty sure comparable seats in the new stadium will be among the most expensive, and I'm betting they will be "club" seats.

Top row of 50-yard line upper level in DC are $82 face for single game.

Top row or front row?

Maybe, but they could conceivably be above the second tier as they are at Yankee Stadium.

I don't follow.
Sorry... I see how my response was vague.

I agree there is a good possibility the seats I occupy will be more expensive at the new stadium, but those seats may not be club seats, as you stated. If the design has a third tier (which I believe), the suites could conceivably be between the second and third tiers, which is the design at Yankee Stadium.

Got it -- I still think 50-yard line seats, even in the second level, will be among the most expensive in the stadium -- second only to 1st level 50-yard line.

They didn’t have a 3rd tier in the survey they sent a few years back. And the front rows of the 2nd tier were club seats based on these diagrams.

Damn that’s depressing to look back on. What a waste of our time it was to answer that survey. Did they do that:
  1. because there really was something in the works that fell through;
  2. because Populous wanted broad market research for another project elsewhere and NYCFC said, sure, our STH’s have time to waste;
  3. because Stadium market research doesn’t go stale so might as well get it done early;
  4. to troll us; or
  5. to make us think something might actually happen soon.

Yes. 100%

483 pages later... Even Moses dies before the Bible finishes, so there’s that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
