But in fact they didn’t want to put up with even the slightest bit of the politics of NY. They had the support of the two most powerful politicians in NY amd 70% of the population, and when they hit some uncertainty in the Senate they took their ball and went home. That doesn’t point to an organization that is committed to follow-though on its promises.

Ok so we kissed amazons ass to come here. everyone else sucked their ass and they went somewhere else.
van Brammer and Company can try to spin it anyway they want. Van brammer Genarias and AOC failed FAILED their constituents big time

Seems to me that if the tax revenue is net positive, that is a benefit which is shared by the city and state. However the cost is more uniquely born by the local community. Therefore figure out a way to redirect some of the benefits locally so that the cost / benefit ratio is equalized.

The jobs are still coming, without the incentives and hyper local gentrification. The people who stopped it deserve a parade

They arent spinning me. I havent heard or read a word from any of them except one tweet from AOC, which I disagreed with.

If Amazon doesn’t have the stones or the savvy to leverage their allies Cuomo and BDB, and 70% public approval, to mollify or outmaneuver these relatively minor local officials, then it’s hard to see, in light of their heavy hand in Seattle, why they would follow though on their promises here. They had all the advantages and they ran away.

Dude, I think you need to relax, you're starting to lose it as you got none of those three correct. The first is Van Bramer and the second is Gianaris. I realize those are possibly typos, to give you a very generous benefit of the doubt, but as to AOC, well, the Amazonian bits of Long Island City are not really part of her constituency although I'm sure she has relevant opinions. Ocasio-Cortez represents the 14th congressional district which does not include Long Island City. The 12th district, which does, is represented by Carolyn Maloney.

0 for 3, buddy.

Shit that is already paid for with or without 25000 extra $150000 on average jobs.
That's like saying the Subway is already paid for with or without riders each day.

With a higher density of development comes an increased amount of city infrastructure/agencies. Those agencies will have to devote a vastly enlarged amount of resources to the area. Big difference in crime, fire/rescue situations, trash amounts, damage/wear to roads with increased usage, Seriously, it's time for you to sit this one out.

I don't know. How many are not in the financial market that pay $150000 on average and are not based on a bonus and therefore the market in general.

There are 8.25 million jobs in New York City.

Because you’re so good at math, what % of the New York City labor force was Amazon proposing they would employ?

Simple spelling errors. I like all three as a rule but think they are way off on this.
Liz Warren who has no skin in the game hailed this as a victory as did AOC.
this was not a waste transfer station or a DC. I am not a jobs at any cost guy.
There was a reason most people in the area were in favor of this.
As a small business owner I hate Amazon, but have the ability to see that some things are bigger than me.
I will now relax and wait for opening day.

I hope they spend the money they saved on a wall between LI and Queens.

No money was saved because none was ever going to be spent. But build a wall anyway to keep those fuckers out.
I thought that the whole bidding thing by amazon was a fucking joke.
That said when NYC won with the lowest tax breaks of any of the cities I was surprised.
