Thomas McNamara [Midfielder]

It's so sad that he won't be playing this year with all those south-americans and old DPs... Mix and Poku, I think, will get some time, but not the most part of it even though that's what they need in order to develop. Very sad.

And what is even worse, this situation won't make very good for the club and I wouldn't be surprised if we miss out on the play-offs again. Although I'd neither be if we qualify.

I'm pretty sure Pirlo and Lamps playing the whole season is a pipe dream. Add to that Mix and maybe even Poku will get intl call ups, T-Mac will get some time.

"I love Tommy Mac": How NYCFC midfielder became a cult hero

"Ask Patrick Vieira about any of his players, and you’ll get some fairly boilerplate descriptors. He’ll likely tell you that
David Villa is a “clinical finisher.” Andrea Pirlo’s passing vision and experience are “indispensable.”
if you ask him about Thomas McNamara – New York City FC’s dynamic midfielder and burgeoning cult hero – you’ll get something a bit different.
"I love Tommy Mac.” Vieira says with a broad smile."

It's a great piece, plus a video.

I just voted for TMac. He is a swell guy! Last October, I passed by the Legends Club restaurant( one of the perks of being in a wheelchair since its the only way to bypass stairs) I very candidly interrupted his lunch for a picture and he graciously said yes.:)
