I think there is a Macnamara in all of us. Except I think there is more Macnamara in us than there is in TMac himself. You know, that part of you that wants to be a professional soccer player but you can't because you're just an average guy doing average things. That's what tommy is.. But somehow.. Someway.. He made it.

He still has the haircut a child would have dreaming of playing professional soccer. Logic checks out.

Tommy is a down to Earth guy despite all of his accomplishments and I get what you're saying -- Tommy appears to be just an average guy, but the average guy is not Ivy League educated, a couple of credits away from a Master's Degree and a professional soccer player with an obvious proclivity for badass hair styles.

Ivy bachelors Degree - check.
Ivy post-Grad degree - check.
Awesome hair - why yes.
Professional socc..... dammit.

Haha, the way he scored that header... if he wasn't wearing a kit you'd think he was just some drunk fan who snuck on to the field and charged towards the goal, arms flailing, getting smacked in the face by a crossbar rebound.

Drunk fans wear kits too. lets not rule it out yet.

Before delving into what yesterday's performance means for Colorado, the more creative half of our channel paid homage to Tommy Mac and his ridiculous goal scoring history

Thank you for doing that.

He really does own that space.

The fact that TMac can make those kinds of shots has to be one reason he is among the league leaders in assists. You can't leave him alone within 30 yards of the goal, which opens up the passing lanes.

If Lampard had been two steps closer, or two steps farther, or 2 inches taller, he would have scored easily and TMac would have had another assist. He was literally in the one spot that kept him from connecting.
