The Third Rail is planning a trip to Manchester, England to see Manchester City play Tottenham Hotspur on January 21st, 2017. We've already locked in match tickets and a tour of the academy. Flights are on the individual to obtain. We are working on discounted rates for a hotel but have not gotten a final answer on that yet. We'll update you as soon as possible.

It's right around the corner so sooner is better. E-mails went out yesterday with updates and there are a lot of moving parts. I would say before the end of the month at the latest.

Considered that but would hate the stops plus the added train to Manchester. I considered the $500 ticket since it would only cost me an additional $200 to fly to LGA. Could stay in city for a few days and fly out of JFK direct to Manchester. Would of booked for sure.

Just took another look at options. If you can get get to JFK (and if you can get to LGA...) then there's a £122 flight leaving on the night of the 18th, going to Gatwick, and there's a £181 flight back. Again it would be a train to Manchester but...really that's not a great hardship. I can talk you through making the connection from London to Manchester and you'd be in the north by the time it was starting to get dark for the evening (which is about 4pm here).
