UCL 17/18 Knockout Rounds (Draw and Matches)

And fuck you too for your passive aggressive faux zen shit.

That is all.

And yeah, I know you’re just doing you. And I’m just doing me.
Lol, who is analyzing who now?

Actually was mostly bantering with you and making fun of Annagram for trying to assign pathology to something as simple as "I support a team who just suffered a brutal defeat".

Ignore the hell out me. You don’t even have the balls to quote and are yet to actually understand the point - it is you taking the shit too seriously, not me.

It took Mario Mario a bit to get it, but I’m one of the least insistent people here. I like raising hell and having fun and venting.

When people take themselves as seriously as you do, I pray they not only ignore me, but I hope they lose the board url.
Woah, I’m a vegan

Game sounds like it was nuts both in the good , Bale’s goal , and bad most Everyything else . Haven’t had a chance to watch yet. Had to work would have DVRed but My town was hit by a tornado back on Tuesday the 15th . Some in perspective minor house damage but massive property damage . Took about a week to get back in the house and get power back’ still no cable or iternet. Posting this from smart phone using borrowed WiFi . Also missed out ( NYCFC ) last two matches hope to catch up on everything soon .

Sorry to hear about your tornado, that really sucks! Hope your family is ok and repairs are speedy!

Don’t even bother watching the Houston match - it’ll drive you mad.

Midas Mulligan Midas Mulligan said he wants to rewatch it. You should invite him over so he can relieve it with you.

Does anyone know why he was diagnosed in Massachusetts? Even if he was coming to the US anyway, shouldn't he have been looked at in Europe before getting on a transatlantic flight?
He was probably diagnosed at their exit physicals, which I’m guessing are done stateside because of who owns the team/tie-ins with the Red Sox’ medical teams. Just a guess.

As to why he wasn’t looked at in Europe??? Just a serious spitballing guess, but I’m not sure the medical team that let him continue playing the match (likely a combo of trainers and/or physician) would have wanted to have done a more in-depth analysis afterwards which would have confirmed they made a bad decision that day. It still baffles me he was allowed to play after an elbow straight to the head, and I worry that decisions were made/recommended to the coaching staff so that a sub was not “wasted” on a GK that may/may not have had a concussion- in a game like that the Med staff making the call to use a sub is in a precarious position with the safety of the player not necessarily aligned with the ambitions of the club (note though that I have *ZERO* doubt that Klopp is a player’s manager and would gladly burn a sub to help the player at the expense of his tactical flexibility - he’d do it immediately every time).

I also have since seen someone on Twitter pass on second hand info that they went to Mass General because it's a world leader in concussions/brain injuries.

That doctor is a big shot based on the articles I was reading. Also, he apparently bolted for the US almost immediately after returning to Liverpool with the team.

Ramos was asked about the reaction to Salah’s injury, and responded: “Bloody hell, they’ve given this a lot of attention, the Salah thing. “I didn’t want to speak because everything is magnified. I see the play well, he grabs my arm first and I fell to the other side, the injury happened to the other arm and they said that I gave him a judo hold. "After the goalkeeper said that I dazed him with a clash with me I am only missing Firmino saying that he got a cold because a drop of my sweat."

he looked fine to me, he just sucks and is trying to make excuses
You know this stuff and the homophobic shit is why people get annoyed, right?

You make baseless, pointless, unsubstantiated criticisms of people and ideas, and I get that it’s a joke, but folks get annoyed when that’s all you do. Sprinkle in some measured, thoughtful responses and it’s easier to take.

How the fuck people think concussions are a joke or something to be scoffed at in this day and age are beyond me.

Get over yourself and your antiquated ideas of what it means to be an athlete.

I’m not making an excuse over the result. It’s done. Match over. But the circumstance is a big underscore and highlight of what is still wrong with footy.
