UCL 17/18 Knockout Rounds (Draw and Matches)

Training meetings all day and Barcelona - Roma is the TV game so I can’t Dvr . Still somewhat excited but tempered a bit that it’ll be live score on my breaks and net highlights later.

Also someone has to mention Ronaldo’d Goal from m yesterday in this thread don’t they ?
The best part of that goal was the Juve crowd applauding it.

That sucks, man. On the day the schedule came out, I fortunately was able to book a “pitch review” in midtown with a couple of prospects named James L. Carragher and Carl S. Berg.

Should be getting that notification any time now.

What the fuck happened to showing these games on TV anyway. Fucking bullshit.
Fucking Barcelona, you mean. They bring so many viewers, I guess.

Recommendation for you and Davo15 or anyone would be to sign up for a free trial of fox soccer match pass or FuboTV.

Alternatively, the UEFA Champions League app will have an audio feed.

Or lastly, r/soccerstreams is almost guaranteed to have something decent.

I see that unlike yesterday, the second match is at least on FS2, which I get, so it's all good.

Don't know what the fuck was up yesterday.

Have to love this guy, no doubt.

If you aren't excited, you're JayH JayH or Ulrich . The rest of us, red, blue or neutral, have to be amped.

Shit. I'm not going to sleep tonight.
Side note: I know exactly where that interview is taken. Stood there last year. On the balcony overlooking the EDS training pitch right outside the media room.

Not too happy about an upcoming week's worth of anticlimactic second legs.

If any team can do it it’s City. They’ve scored 3 goals at will all season. The issue is not allowing a goal. I don’t see them getting out of this leg.
Something about Liverpool that has this City team by the neck year in and year out. If Pep of all people can’t figure it out I sure can’t.
We were so flat in the final third. Sane, who typically creates so much on the left for us made every bad decision possible all game. Can’t recall him doing anything right even when he had the time on the rare occasion he got the best of his cover.
Personally, I’d trade the title to get out of this round.

Btw, I knew when I started reading quotes by City players about how Anfield didn’t matter, they were fucked. It never fails that when you do that, it will matter.

And So I lied. I was confident of a result for us. But not arrogant enough nor willing enough to take the heat if wrong to spout off about it.

I still wouldn’t even call it over. MCFC have the blueprint. Let Liverpool in behind at will until someone kicks the keeper on a 50/50.

But for real, just don’t fuck with Anfield on a European night. Probably among the hardest places/times to play in the world.

That right there was straight domination. So proud of the boys. Even when Man City bossed the ball, they were totally out of control of the game.

But by God, don’t for a minute take anything away from them. Maybe only 1 or 2 other teams in all of Europe come out of that only down 3. I’d say they did better than absolutely any other club would have there tonight.

It was fucking balls out spectacular. When they were making arrangements to get there 2 hours early and benching Sterling, Anfield had already won.

Probably won’t be the popular opinion but Liverpool should be sanctioned in some way for their supporters actions. Don’t think it affected the players in any way shape or form but there’s no room for that in any sport. One of the items, as you can hear in the videos, shattered the window and could have hurt a player.

Says the man whose club has premier league titles. Would bite your hand off. But retain the right to talk shit if we go through and add #6.

I agree it’s wrong. Don’t agree to punish the club. Not that it would happen anyway. You don’t fuck up and cost yourself money if you’re UEFA.

I watched several videos. Only saw things bouncing off. So if a window was broken, it seemingly was like one asshole throwing a beer bottle or something.

Pep was total class about the whole thing, as was Jurgen with his apology. And I agree THAT didn’t mess with City. In the grounds, though, Anfield was totally in their heads.

Not to mention, Liverpoool was just the better team TODAY.

Whaddya know? Lampard knows his shit.

I was nervous before it kicked off. Never nervous when we play United, Chelsea or even Tottenham. Pep bet on Sane today and it didn’t pay off. Until the last second everything went through his feet in the final third.
Was hopeful in the first 10 minutes. Even after the first goal since it was a bit lucky due to the shit clearance. Right around the 20th minute it became clear that it would take something special to break Liverpool down and we just didn’t have it today.

They really did put the match on Sane beating Trent. And I would have done the same after seeing him get smoked by Zaha and Rashford, both inferior to Sane. But the English-American teenager stood tall on the backs of the Anfield crowd. Exactly like Frankie said.

What UEFA should do...

- No away tickets for the 2nd leg vs. Man City (refund all those that purchased)
- Closed door game for UEFA competition next season

What UEFA will do...

- Nothing
