UCL 17/18 Knockout Rounds (Draw and Matches)

Best manager in the world ought to teach his players the offside rule.

Fucking joke. Shouldn’t have had one on target if it weren’t for a terrible noncall by the ref.

Btw, this ref was fucking horrible. On every count.

ETA: And by every count, I mean for both sides.

Sob was bound and determined to send someone off. Thank the soccer gods it was a coach and not a player.

Speaking of good bets, I put $20 on City to go through as an emotional hedge.

Then, I put $5 on LFC to win tonight. So I made $5.

Lullz. I love it when a dumbass strategy of following the numbers pays off. (See, it’s funny because that’s how you should actually bet)

Man, phantom offsides negates a legit 2nd goal for MCFC.

To be clear, I don’t care who wins, but I love the idea of Midas Mulligan Midas Mulligan fidgeting and tense all game.
Dude, that wasn’t phantom at all. Stu is full of shit Milner knew fuck all about that.

Also, back to real analysis, Pep did fuck up going early. Klopp cross punched him and waited for the second half to actually press.

And then,
Typical. City.

Can someone explain to me what about that disallowed goal was offside? Whether it was a backpass or not Sane wasn’t in an offside position with the defender behind him. Or am I missing something?

IF we put away our chances this game could of gone the other way. Bernardo had a great game and almost scored 2. I figured if we didn’t have a 2nd by the 60th minute Liverpool would make us pay.
They had the better 1st leg. We played better in the 2nd leg. But at the end of the day they won both and we’re the better team.

it wasnt offside. it was a bad call by the ref. they unfortunately dont have access to VAR. I guess they assumed the ball back in came from a city player.

It was offside because there was only one player between Sane and the goal. Per the offside law, there must be two.

Nope. The defender must intentionally play the ball. Milner didn't.

How do I know this? Being shit on and seeing Kane gifted one against us earlier this year.

Doesnt matter... the last time a city player touched the ball was off the cross well before and he was onside... so you want to say the goalie punching it was a deflection and the milner touch was also a deflection you still have to go ALLLLL the way back to KDB's cross. And this is coming from someone who didnt have a horse in the race and didnt care who won. I understand the rules youre saying but they dont apply.
