Really looking forward to todays game's PAOK vs Benfica will determine wether or not Liverpool is in Pot 2 or Pot 3. Personally, hoping they go into pot 2. LETS GO PAOK!! Here are the pots as they currently stand.

The draw is tomorrow at noon

Edit: the time of the draw

Benfica sadly destroyed PAOK 4-1. But in a stunning upset Red Star Belgrade draws 2-2 against RB Salzburg to advance. As expected PSV beats BATE Borisov 3-0. All the pots are set.
oh, that's Red Star Belgrade? On livescore it says FK Crvena Zvezda which confused me quite a lot, but that makes a lot more sense lol.

This was like the worst news ever for you as Serie Aphiliac, huh?

As a Liverpool fan, I’m not bothered either way.

It just doesn’t matter. We’re nearly equal or better to any pot one or two team, so it didn’t really matter to us. It did matter to a shit load of other pot 2-3 teams, though. All of them wanted us in their pot. Reasonably, Of course.

It’ll be fun to see how it shakes out.

It’s worse news for Liverpool fans than it is for Serie a fans in my opinion. Pot 2 would have absolutely benefitted you.

Regardless, I think the way things panned out makes for a more exciting tournament.

How? Which eligible pot 2 team is even arguably close to better than Liverpool?

Cant see How it changes anything more than a point or two and a couple of goals.

ETA: for my money, i bet LFC “draw” Dortmund. Or I bet they draw Madrid and one of the joke #2s.

Let’s be real, UEFA has zero interest in eliminating any English club in the group stage. If it happens, someone has numb fingertips.

I can name a few teams in pot 2 that I think can give Liverpool a run for their money but even if I did you would just discount it so I’d rather not. But either way there is no denying pot 2 has better teams than pot 3 and therefore would have made for an easier run.

Assuming you’re going to say Napoli or Roma, who’d be the only reasonable suggestions, yes, I would dismiss them based upon objective truth. Roma would stand a puncher’s chance, but Napoli would be chewed up and spit out. Klopp owns Ancelloti.

ETA: But that’s still only two. You think one of the others would be an issue for Liverpool? Then I’ll be ultra dismissive. Sorry. But true.

Eta2: I’d say the same for Tottenham if they were the team in pot 3. I think PL gets all their teams through with only one question mark (manu).

It will make for more fun, I think. So good point. But I’m not sweating the group stage this time.

Hello Team. Has anyome gone to champions league game? Or know how to buy tixs?

I am going to be in spain for month of September. Hopefully there is match in Valencia (where i will be getting married) if not either Barcelona o Madrid

My advice. Call the front office and have them try to connect you to someone in Manchester that can give you advice.

My point isn’t even that the teams in pot 2 are better than Liverpool. My point is that if Liverpool was in pot 2 they’d have an “easier” run

Well that is something that is objectively true in the hypothetical.

On the other hand, there are a boatload of English teams in pot 2, so I see it that the actual draw could end up being about the same level of difficulty that pot 2 would deliver once evaluated after the draw.

You can’t really judge the damage until you see what #4 lands with what #2. You get Real, Dortmund/Roma, Liverpool, Inter/Hoffenheim, that’s a motherfucker.

So I agree with you that the possible outcomes could be worse, but we’ll see what transpires. Possible it’s just about the same.

viagogo.com is probably your best source for European tickets, unless you know someone in the area.
I've gotten Euro Tournament (Ireland v. Italy) tickets and International friendly (Germany v. Brazil) tickets from the site. It may be expensive, but that depends on who you want to see. May be able to find decent ticket prices for Valencia, but I presume Barça or Madrid would probably be jacked up just for name.
Depending on the venue, you may even be able to get tickets day/night of the match too.
Congrats as well!!
