Has this been done before? I'm curious whether NYCFC fans tend to side with certain other sports teams in the New York area, or none at all.

You can vote for as many teams as you follow, including multiple in the same sport if you consider yourself an *active* fan of multiple teams.

I'm a transplant to NYC, moving here 4 years ago. Big Pittsburgh Steelers fan, bandwagon Pens fan (I'm self-reporting, just don't watch a ton of hockey - watched USAvMexico over Game 6), big Marquette basketball fan, root for NBA teams with former Marquette players on them, don't care for baseball.

Lifelong Yankees fan -- which is what first drew me to NYCFC in the first place. I knew the team was beginning because of my Yankees fandom, and while I had never before been a club soccer fan, I decided to give it a chance. Fell in love when I went to my first game and saw how much fun soccer games are to attend. Now I attend more NYCFC games than any other sport -- even baseball.

Since you're curious...... (Grew up in Westchester County, live in Manhattan now)
  • New York Rangers
  • Oakland Raiders
  • New York Knicks
  • New York Yankees
  • USMNT
  • Liverpool
  • Team Sky in Tour de France??

Lontime Yankee fan, but like a lot of folks here by Yankee fandom has waned as my NYCFC fandom has grew. As a native Upstater (real Upstate, not Putnam County Upstate) I'm primarily a Sabres fan, but will root for the Rangers as long as it doesn't come at the Sabres' expense. Also, after hemming and hawing a bit, I've finally settled on Liverpool as my overseas club as well.

I'm assuming you have a favorite sculling, sailing and Formula 1 team, too?

HAHAHA well..... now that you asked.....

  • Lewis Hamilton - Mercedes AMG Team (wish was around for James Hunt & the McLaren boys)
  • Oracle Team USA (pretty save to assume I'm going to pro Team USA anything)
  • Syracuse (have to assume alma mater is favorite right?)
(still chuckling that you threw out sculling haha)

Yankees. My grandmother who spoke no English knew the entire roster and watched every game. Almost religion in my family.

Not much for hockey but to the extent I follow it- Devils. Wife is a West Pennsy girl so Penguins also by default.

Basketball, what's that?

Football- college- PSU (wife's alma mater and she is a member of the cult). Pro- eeeh, eeehh. Yeah, I still don't care about pro.

International club team- now Benevento! Prior to their promotion, Napoli. I'll kinda sort root for Chelsea in Premier League cause Conte is entertaining to watch.

USMNT (of course) and US Rugby

And Gli Azzurri but you already guessed that too.

Red Sox
Knicks
Jets
Stanford Cardinal
Hartford Whalers RIP
Hull City
Richmond Tigers

What? Not Haas F1 Team? Which is the American constructor team!

OH IT'S ON FAM

I was born in Manhattan, but spent my first 11 years in Miami, where I became a staunch Dolphins and Hurricane fan. I love those teams to death! Through those years, the Yankees were, and still are a special team for me because of my father. Some of the best memories I have are with that man and the Yanks. Moving to the Bronx in the mid 80’s I became a Knicks fan, and later the Rangers, though my passion for hockey still eludes me.
