Serious question, does this event change any young person's opinion about having kids. I think if you're in the 20-28 age range and you want to follow the USMNT through this World Cup or travel and see multiple cities/games, not having a child at 2026 will increase savings to support your World Cup activities. Just a thought...

My daughter will be 12 in 2026, and I'm hoping she'll want to go to as many games as I can get tickets for.

a lot of the stadiums back in '94 had turf too; they will retrofit them with natural grass before then. i wasn't aware of the regulation requiring an outdoor field though. is that new?

I'm not sure if that is a new regulation, but '94 also had the Silverdome in Detroit as a host stadium, so there definitely has been WC matches played indoors before (that may have been the only place to host one).

Grass is required. Indoor is okay. I think Jerry's World is on the final list. I know Atlanta is. Also, the stadium in Phoenix was on before they dropped out - which is too bad as the Phoenix stadium is both indoors and has grass (the pitch grows outdoors and then rolls in for games).

Assuming Mexico and Canada retains all their cities, that leaves 10 for the US.

Here is my list: NY, Pilly, DC, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, LA, SF, Seattle, KC.

I think they drop Miami and keep Orlando instead. I would go:

NY, Philly, DC, Boston, Seattle, SF, LA, Orlando, Dallas, Atlanta
*Note, that's what I think they do, I would honestly drop Orlando and add Nashville or Denver from the above

But what stadium is in Orlando is better than what Miami has with Hard Rock?

On page 140 of the bid book, they have a proposed match schedule

    https://img.fifa.com/image/upload/w3yjeu7dadt5erw26wmu.pdf

( can someone post that schedule as a seperate picture for me ?? )

It includes games in 3 Canadian cities , 3 Mexico cities and 10 American cities.

The bid book also says NY will be nominated for the final, Atlanta and Dallas would be semi final venues and LA would host the opening game on American soil

The bid book also says they have created an algorithm that will ensure that teams and fans will not be subjected to great distances between games.

That leaves 6 USA venues up for grabs.

Of course FIFA could change things around by declaring some stadiums unsuitable.

How old do you think a kid has to be to actually engage with the game?
