Hi everyone, I would like to ask for help.
I am going to visit New York in August and I bought 2 tickets to match New York City FC vs New England Revolution.
The tickets are to section 202. Is it a safe section for me and my girlfriend?
Thanks everyone.

The stadium is very safe. It's not like some South American or European stadiums where you'll get beat up for wearing the wrong jersey. Just go and enjoy the game and don't get drunk and pick a verbal fight.

Every section is safe, there's lots of security and police around the stadium. Even outside of the stadiums you'd be welcome into pretty much every bar.

Don't act like a drunken idiot or try to provoke people and you'll be perfectly fine. Though another option for you would be to contact the New England traveling supporters (I believe called the Midnight Riders) and ask to get tickets in their section, and you can then sell yours if you want to be with other New England fans.

Agreed with what others said above -- every section in the stadium is very safe. If you're super worried for some reason, I believe there are designated "family sections", which I think are 209 (my section) and 210(?) or somewhere around there... it should show up on a seating map on the club ticketing page.

Are you a New England guy? Either way, that section should be okay. It is in the bleachers. You will be near the Supporters Section, which will be on the other side of a big gap in the seating where centerfield sits. I've had season tickets for 2 years, and I have never seen a bad incident, and this includes sitting all over the stadium.

It's totally safe. One of the safest stadiums out there. If you look down from 202 you will probably see me surrounded by NE fans (as my section always seems to sell to away supporters - and SUPER FRANK LAMPARD SUPER FANS!). and sometimes the best banter comes out of those situations. As long as everyone is having fun and doesnt take themselves too seriously.

Its very safe, IF you pay the extra $10 traveling supporter safety fee. Did you select that when you purchased your tickets? Cause if you didn't you're in luck I happen to have an extra set, I'll let you have both for $10 cause its your first time visiting. Let me just get your credit card info and social. Not on here obviously cause that would be stupid unsafe just giving it out on a message board.

R RaymondDoyle92 Section 202 is VERY safe as long as you're prepared.

First, contact Rimil Rimil for the 'Traveling Supporter Safety Program', definitely worth the $10 just in case you walk by our assortment of Ultras groups.

Second, contact adam adam for a customized camo NYCFC hat, this is critical so the bleacher creatures don't think you're from New England.

Third, for optimal comfort, please contact JayH JayH to borrow a back-lounge-bleacher-attachment (you seem like a nice guy, I don't think he'll charge you). Would hate for your lower back to get sore.

Fourth, get a chicken bucket w/ fries. Share your tasty nuggets with surrounding fans so they don't try to flirt with your girlfriend.

Finally, bring your mittens, it's going to be cold out there this weekend :kissingheart:

202...
202, very safe.

Well, as NYCFC_Dan wrote, I am not a troll. :)
I am from Europe and I have no idea, how safe the stadium is. Here it says that Bronx in general is dangerous place.
Anyway thanks for all serious answers, although the jokes you made were funny. :)

I have always liked Pirlo and want to see him live, so we will support the New York City team, but calmly.
So the Supporters section is on the other side of the Big Screen?

Thanks. :)

There are parts of the Bronx I wouldn't want to walk through at night, but in general NYC is very safe. It was far more dangerous two decades ago than it is now. Much to the surprise of a certain national leader, crime is way down throughout the city.

And the area around Yankee Stadium is swarming with cops on gamedays -- I've been to probably 100 events at Yankee Stadium over the last 15-20 years and have never felt unsafe or even uneasy.
