Yankees Complaining About Stadium Sharing Thread

Mark Teixeira hit .216 last year and had more strike outs then hits he should shut his mouth and collect a pay check.

To be fair, his area of work, along with the RF and 2b, are the most fucked by this setup.

Still though, while I don't blame them for their worry, they need to play a few games first before complaining.

I almost want this to be a shit storm. The more the Yankees divas complain the more pressure is put on the FO to find a spot and get moving ASAP. Talking to friends down in Orlando, it's frustrating that they're light years ahead of us in that regard.

Why would they complain about the pitch before the game on Sunday ? Maybe after but not before.at the end of the day their playing baseball so as long as the grass is green what's it matter could understand it if it was crown green bowling or something .

Because they were asked the question by a reporter hoping to stir the pot.

The real answer to your question is that the Yankees are in spring training and there's nothing else for Yankees writers to talk about other than how bad the Yankees are going to until the next bit of A-Rod drama, so they stuck a microphone in some Yankee players faces to get sorta quotes to publish a sensational "OHNOZ" article.

Obviously, you being a dirty Brit, you've never played baseball. I have for most of my life, and the condition of the field has a huge impact on the game. A field that is uneven and damaged creates unpredicatable conditions, which when considering that at the major league level the balls are traveling 100+ mph off the bat, it can quickly become a dangerous situation. I don't blame the players for being concerned about this. It's a legitimate problem.

Yeah I have we call it rounders over here haha.
Do you mean if the ball bounces up off the turf or if the fielder trips up on a divit ?wouldn't the grass between the bases? Be pretty chewed up already ?

Honest question then is their no love lost between the Yankees and nycfc then? So can you support the Yankees and nycfc.am I wrong to think the Yankees have some sort of stake in nycfc ?

No, that grass gets very little foot action, but yes the concern is with ground balls in the infield and balls rolling in the outfield. The main concern with the infield is the dirt. It will be covered up for soccer matches, but who knows how that dirt reacts by having grass on it that players are running over.

Oh right then ,sounds like the city players will have as much to complain about the covered dirt then .will the covered areas be on the pitch then ?
