Now I know I can't be the only one on the forums that has been playing the new Zelda for the last month. I'm 100 hours in and still absolutely loving it! Wanted to start a thread to chat about it, but let's be conscious of spoilers and use the spoiler functionality. For instance, here's my progress:

I'm on my WiiU so I'm able to track the amount of hours I've spent - I have 98 shrines, 3 full stamina wheels, and I think 18 hearts - I just finished the last Divine Beast this weekend and mapped the last two areas so now all of the towers have been scaled

I'm very jealous. Want to buy the new system just for that game alone. I won't click your spoiler just yet though. Which is weird, because I never had a problem reading about games in my old Nintendo Power magazines. #teamalmost40

same. i would buy the new system solely for zelda. huge nostalgia for the franchise dating back to OoT and MM. (I never had SNES and was too young to remember the orginal).

bonus! my gf is a huge fan of it too, so im thinking gift for her that actually for me.

If the game was only for the Switch, I probably wouldn't have gotten the system just yet - not much of an early adopter with tech since I try to give them time to work out the kinks - of which, it seems, the Switch has many. Having it on my WiiU has saved the console for me - I did enjoy the occasional game here and there, but did not play it as much as when I had the Wii. If you have the WiiU, get Zelda for that and wait for the Switch.

Thanks for the nostalgia with Nintendo Power - think I'll have to watch the 1989 classic, The Wizard

Edit: forgot to mention - I've played every Zelda game on console since OoT and this game made me feel the same way OoT did where it left me floored with how good it is

Didnt realize it's available on WiiU. But i only have the Wii, which is used for playing games with my daughter these days. I'd rather buy the switch than the WiiU if I purchase a console for it. Then hope my 5 year old grows into it.

yeah, it's literally the last game for the WiiU - if you don't have it, then the Switch would be the way to go

I'm so close to buying a switch for the Zelda nostalgia, if they come out with an animal crossing as well I think I'd just break down on the spot. Too much halcyon nostalgia in one package, and the reviews say that the new Zelda is actually good. Ugh, must resist.

I'm yet to cop a Switch. Not a huge Zelda fan but everything I've heard about it is very good. I may grab one next month since the team is far away most of May.

Also: I still have my Power Glove.
Zelda is just so fucking good - there's so much you can do and the game allows you to do almost whatever you want, whenever you want

how much you want for that glove? haha

I tired animal crossing last year in my late 30s to play on the wii with my then 4 year old. I had to read everything to her and she wasn't so into it compared to other games we played. Maybe when she's older.
