Maybe It's Time To Stop Complaining About The Pitch Size

Following up to note that, when Chelsea and Manchester City played the first soccer game at the new Yankee Stadium in May of 2013 (before the agreement which created NYCFC), this is how the pitch was laid out:

That is similar to how it's done for NYCFC games; but the width is probably a bit greater, and the mound has been removed.

A few weeks later, the Stadium hosted Ireland vs. Spain. Did something happen as a result of those two matches during the baseball season that made the Yankees think that they couldn't lay out a soccer pitch this way regularly?

Is it really worth dismantling and rebuilding the mound 17 times a season for a few extra feet, plus it probably adds to their 2.5-3 day turnaround time, it's not as simple as backing up a dump truck dropping some dirt and calling it a mound.

The whole narrow field thing is stupid anyway, people just need something to nitpick about.
