Another wild weekend in MLS

Houston tore LA Galaxy a new one in the Texas heat winning 3-0. A huge win for them as they are fighting to get back in the playoff race. Houston is pretty loaded with good talent - Giles Barnes (the Jamaican who beat the US), Cubo Torres, Ricardo Clark, Demarcus Beasley, Brad Davis, Will Bruin...

Do not count them out. These guys could get real hot down the stretch.

FC Dallas demolished Portand 4-1 to fortify their position atop all of MLS. They're going to get some key pieces back with the Gold Cup wrapping up.

The West is just stacked. 6 playoff places isn't enough over there. A really good team is going to miss out.

In the East, Chicago gave away two points at home in a 2-2 draw with New England:

Columbus Crew saw Chicago throw away a 2-1 lead and said "We can do better than that!" So they had a 3-0 lead after halftime, at home, and threw that away in a 3-3 draw with Toronto.

Montreal got a huge win over the struggling Seattle Sounders. Montreal has quietly risen from the bottom of the table to kick Orlando out of the final playoff spot -- for now.

Philadelphia already up 2-0 in 18 minutes at DC United.

That's not good for us.
