Figured we can have a guide or at least a F.A.Q. For secondary market tickets.
I'm at work right now so I can't write up too much but I'll come back to this.

Just a list of things we know and the club has said.

If you're purchasing via Ticketmaster you have no issues. Should be able to access your tickets via mobile and gain entry without any problems.

Am I able to sell at a loss on the Ticketmaster platform? Someone on social media said that you can't, and there were several games last year I could barely give away. I can't get to every game, but I'd rather get $20 for my train ticket in for the next game instead of letting those sit empty.

What i want to know is as a season ticket holder that cant attend a game can i transfer tickets to my family so they can attend??

Im not trying to make money just share with family. With this stupid new rule can i do it?

From the NYCFC web page:

5. Can I transfer my mobile ticket to a family member or friend?

Yes. Fans can freely transfer their mobile ticket to a family member or a friend's Smartphone prior to or after the verification (QR code) appears, but not after entering Yankee Stadium. Accordingly, we strongly recommend that you transfer to each member of your party his/her individual ticket via mobile, prior to entering Yankee Stadium.

I'm not going to friday's game, so I had them on stubhub, until the print at home wasn't activated at the 14 day mark. I then deactivated the listing and switched to the nycfc/ticketmaster sell option. During the pricing step a pop up appeared setting the low price at $29 and change, which I guess is face value this year for my seats. So it doesn't appear you can sell at a loss, which is the yankee whole issue with stubhub. When print at home was activated for friday's game I canceled the ticketmaster listing and reactivated the stubhub one.

"We must crush the 3rd party sellers in order to maintain the evil empire!" - Yankees 2016

Do we have any idea what "verify PDFs" means? I have a feeling its going to be a shit show for stubhub sales...

I'm pretty sure that for Founding Members the minimum price you can list on the exchange is the Founding Member price, which is a discount to both regular STH and single game prices, but that is still a floor below which you cannot go.

Thanks to you and mgarbowski mgarbowski for the info. This move just sucks as a consumer.

I admit that I have not confirmed this with Fan services but everything we have heard points to limitations on the availability of print at home tickets, not limits on whether current or future actually existing printed tickets will be accepted.

For example, if you buy a single ticket now, you won't be able to print it. But if you have season tickets, you should be able to print until the end of the season, and more importantly, any ticket you print will be valid, though it seems they may gradually reduce the number of gates that will accept them. I plan to call and try to confirm this understanding on Monday and will update when I do.

Fan Services tweeted this just under an hour ago (around 12:30pm on 3/13/2016):

The ticketmaster ticket exchange thing doesn't let you sell below your cost for the ticket. I have Cat 5 founding member seats so mine is $23.75. This worries me greatly as I was able sell a seat on Stubhub last year at a minor loss last year ($18 payout) and another pair at just below my cost ($22.50/ea payout). If my shit was not selling on TM I'd list it on Stubhub about a week before the game, and with the exception of that time I forgot to list a pair I couldn't use, I only had three unsold/unused tickets for the whole of last season. What they maybe don't understand is that not everyone knows about the Ticketmaster/Tickets Now/Ticket Exchange and some people go to StubHub by default. I mean I understand they don't give a shit cuz it's not their problem as long as we are still buying Season Tickets, but if Stubhub isn't able to work out a mobile entry thing for YS I suggest we start a petition with a strongly worded letter to YS. It'll make me feel better anyway.

6. Can I resell my mobile and traditional hard stock paper tickets?

Fans can resell their traditional hard stock paper tickets anytime and anywhere. Reselling mobile tickets on websites other than New York City FC Ticket Exchange depends upon the operations of such other websites, which New York City FC does not control. Fans should be aware that New York City FC can only guarantee tickets that are resold through the New York City FC Ticket Exchange where the transaction is secure and the resold ticket is verified.

Emphasis mine. I lol-ed.

. What they maybe don't understand is that not everyone knows about the Ticketmaster/Tickets Now/Ticket Exchange and some people go to StubHub by default.

Hence why they are fighting back against stubhub. It's not good for business when a growing number of fans are going to a third party site. They feel as though it's their product and they don't need stubhub.

I also posted this in another thread too. They better send hard tickets out next year.
The 10 minute period in which they did not allow anyone in happened, but it had nothing to do with the paper tickets. That's my tweet they used as "evidence" in the article and they got it all wrong. I was at a non-paper gate, and they were efficiently turning people with paper tickets away from the line before they got to security or the entrance. The ticket reading system just went down. That's bad enough, and there are other reasons for wanting paper tickets, but not because of anything in the article.

The team wants to squeeze as much as money out of the fans as they can. If they ban sales on Stubhub by not allowing e-tickets next season for STH you will see a lot of no shows since ticket exchange is nowhere near the same distribution channel Stubhub is.

I went down to the Yankee Ticket Office today at the stadium. I exchanged my Modell's voucher for two seats for Friday's game and I also brought a pair of Print-At-Home tickets that I bought on StubHub for Friday (I also have tickets that I've already bought on Stubhub for games into the summer because the two seats next to me are owned by a ticket broker that dirty fuckhead).

Anyway, I did the Modell's exchange first. Got a pair of tickets upstairs. They're printed on Yankee Stadium tickets, not NYCFC.

Then, I asked him about the Printed tickets that I don't have access to in MyAccountManager, and he basically said he had no idea what to do or what they plan on doing and told me to "Google it, you have a few days before the game still."

I was hoping they would "verify" the tickets there for me and issue me printed tickets or a way to add it to my account, but of course they did nothing.
