Purchasing Secondary Market Tickets For NYCFC

True of the last game vs Chicago, not so much of the previous ones. At least that was my experience.
I was able to move two for the NE match at face, but got stuck with two for the Chicago match. I also sold two for a substantial premium for the Colorado match this summer, which was a pleasant surprise. The Tim Howard effect perhaps.

The secondary market was not that great last year for matches under 25k, which the last few matches have been this season. For matches with larger crowds, and fewer choices in the the 100 & 200 level, your tickets will be poppin'.

I think the weather has had an effect on it as well. It's been cold.
I am extremely concerned about what will happen in the resale market next month since we can't print-at-home & stubhub anymore.

Ticketmaster has changed their layout for sales. You can no longer filter by price or zone and they have a "top picks" section which selectively pushes buyers to certain tickets.

If your tickets aren't on that list, they don't sell.

Yeah, it is terrible. And extremely deceptive. If you ask it to order by price ascending, it doesn't actually show you the cheapest tickets. You can still see a real, non algorithmically filtered list by using the antiquated ticket exchange website. I snagged some pretty good seats for the May 21 derby that way. But there is no denying that the new ticketmaster layout it is lousy for selling.

What am I missing? You guys seem to be seeing something different from me. I just went to Ticketmaster for tomorrow's game. I chose See Resale Only, and All Quantities, All Sections, Priced Low to High. It starts showing me $20 tickets which I think is as low as Ticketmaster allows, then $21, etc.

I don't see Top Picks anywhere. There is a Best Available option under "Find Tickets For Me", but that's been there forever.

Are they maybe rolling out a new system for some users but not everyone yet?

This is the new layout and its deceptive, and pushes buyers into seats that are more money while ignoring cheaper options (for example I have 2 extra seats on there for $24, unless you check section by section, you would never find them).

Its lousy for buying too. Its designed to make it difficult to find deals and instead to push overprice fan resale tickets and whatever tickets the team has left. It goes hand in hand with the pricing floor ticketmaster imposes, they do everything possible to drive people away from below face value tickets.

I think there is something like that going on, yes. It varies for me depending on what computer I am using and which game I am looking at.

Yeah I found out a couple weeks ago that IE still has the better old version. The new version is shit.

I was unable to sell the last two games for face value and I have great seats 103 row 3 and 4

FYI. I bought a ticket to the Montreal game on Stubhub (instant download), printed it and had no problem getting to the seat.

I don't doubt you at all, but wtf?

I thought the entire poop storm created by the Yankees was because they put a stop to print at home tickets; especially from Stub Hub.

Why can you use the print at home option with Stub Hub and not Ticketmaster?

STHs can still generate printable PDFs through Ticketmaster, which is how StubHub gets its inventory. They committed to that through the end of this season at least, and it doesn't necessarily apply to non-STH tickets.

I see. Thanks for straightening that out. As I mentioned a page or two back, I've been using the Will Call window at Gate 4 and it has been a breeze.

How do I do that? These used to be an option that said "print" but that shit is gone now. My seats for the Vancouver game sat empty because I couldn't print them to put them on Stub hub.
Maybe I'm a jerk but I'd rather sell my extra tickets for $10 than have empty seats in the field section.

When did you try to print the Vancouver tickets? The print option only shows up within a certain time. It used to be 14 days before the game; it's been a while since I checked and they might have tightened it up. The next home game against RB is more than 2 weeks away so it makes sense for it not to be there now. Sabo said he bought a PDF on StubHub for Montreal which was just before the Vancouver game so if they dropped it altogether, which they promised would not happen, it just started. Or maybe they didn't activate it for Vancouver until after the day of the Montreal game, which is tight. I don't know.

I'm not sure about all the different processes, but I was able to print my tickets for the Vancouver match. So far this year, I luckily have not had any issue entering any match this year and was able to print and use all my tickets.
