Sean Johnson [Goalkeeper]

Does this mean Lurch in net for a good stretch this summer?
This is just a waypoint to picking the final 23 later in the month, and play isn't until July. Unless they make the 23 I don't think this means anything. Tommy isn't even starting for us so I don't see how he makes the 23.

And they can change the 23 after group stages, so I'd bet SJ is only gone for half the tournament, even if he makes the squad.

Made the gold cup roster. Well deserved based on his current form. Great for him, big hole for NYCFC for a few games.
That's such a double edged sword, right. I had just tweeted earlier that he has been the tops keeper in MLS for me this year. So he deserves it, and I'm happy for him. But also, it makes me scared. Lurch is leagues below him quality wise.

I'm guessing he will be here for Minnesota, but don't think that is relevant regardless if we have him or not. Then we are without him verses Vancouver, who will be without at least 2-4 players called up by Canada. Not sure about their Costa Ricans, I think they only made the prelim roster. Then we have Toronto, who will be out Justin Morrow, Jonathan Osorio, Raheem Edwards, and Tossaint Ricketts, all of whom have had a big impact on Toronto this year.

Chicago will be without Dax McCarthy, which is a pretty big loss for them, but that should be a tough one.

Anyway, I think we will be alright for a couple games without SJ.

The Milkman is out for Minnesota, at Vancouver, and probably vs. Toronto and vs. Chicago.

Considering the injury report Vancouver just had, and add to it their callups, they could be severely depleted when we play them.

I think we pickup wins vs. Minnesota and Vancouver. I'm worried about just getting points vs. Toronto and Chicago on that double game week.

I just hope SJ logs a minute in the GC. Really sucks to lose him so he rides the pine the whole time.

Side note: is that term even relevant anymore? When was the last time you saw a pro player (outside of baseball) sit on a wooden bench?

Classic sailboat racing? Not the 40 mph machines they're racing now at America's Cup.

I guess this means with him and others from the team drafted for this they may have no forced to dig The Old Man up from where ever he's hiding at the moment to play ! Did our Candy Boy Mr 15 minuets Sterzer make the cut Boss ??
Yeah. That certainly impacts who we play in midfield.

Or, you know, it has no impact at all.
