That's why I still think to this day, this club's greatest success has been its marketing/PR efforts that are unrelated to footballing activities (lets decide to ignore the Lampard fiasco). You know, I can't help but think of Red Bull fans in NY. Between this and the NYCFC soccer field initiate, I'm certain their are seriously questioning how much "NY" the Red Bulls really are.
They've come in and dominated this city, leaving the Red Bulls in the dust. From doing this, to the soccer field initiative, their marketing campaigns (that something along these lines video was fantastic, and the hypnokit jersey reveal), to getting involved in the Chinese New Year Parade, etc.
I hope they continue to get involved in other items. I haven't paid a whole lot of attention, but I'd like to see a decent NYCFC presence in and around the NY marathon this year (partly selfishly because I'm running it).
The Red Bulls have done nothing close to what that team has put together.
