National Hockey League

I had a pretty busy night at work so I wasn't able to watch any of the game. When I saw the sscore was 3-0 in the 3rd I got a lump in my throat. As a fan I'm not ready to give up hope. It wouldn't be the first time a team came back from being down 3 and it's in this particular team's form to do that.
Not against this team and this goalie. And not having to win at MSG, where we suck.

A Red Sox style comeback from being down 0-3, is possible, but not very probable. That said, it is still a hell of a run, and a season to be proud of, does still sting to get so close, and be in the first two games and come up short. The Kings are an awesome team, got to take it one game at a time, and if they go down, hope they go down fighting.

I am first and foremost a Colorado Avalanche fan. They are the only team I have ever known and will continue to be the only team I ever love. That being said, I hope the Rangers take the Cup over the Kings since I really like Martin St Louis. Now that they've won Game 4, I think they have a chance if they can take Game 5 by at least 2 goals.

Figures. The headless dog is a Kings fan.

This was a great series but the better team won. 5 games. 3 OT. 2 in double OT. The Kings just got a shit ton more shots in. Cheers! Congrats! Let's Go Rangers!

The run was incredible but it was tough to see the players at the end of that one. I don't think I've ever seen a team so distraught over losing. At least we only have three shorts months until hockey starts up again. I think the future is bright with this team, hopefully we can get back to the final a little sooner than 20 years this time.

Haha I would like to think we got better this off-season. Better goaltending now that Cory is the full time starter, Camm will help with scoring and will snap that shootout streak at some point. Playoffs are definitely realistic and if not Deboer is most likely gone.

One can only hope, left too many points on the ice last season.

NHL arenas hire local rec league goalies to come to games and stand-by for the rare occasions when a team loses 2 goalies in 1 game. It is extremely rare that they are called upon to suit up, much less play. Last night the Blackhawks starting goalie was hurt during warmups and the backup developed cramps during the game that required him to leave in the third period. Enter Scott Foster, a 36-year old accountant who stopped all 7 shots he faced in 14.5 minutes of action. His post game interview is epic.
