National Hockey League

NHL arenas hire local rec league goalies to come to games and stand-by for the rare occasions when a team loses 2 goalies in 1 game. It is extremely rare that they are called upon to suit up, much less play. Last night the Blackhawks starting goalie was hurt during warmups and the backup developed cramps during the game that required him to leave in the third period. Enter Scott Foster, a 36-year old accountant who stopped all 7 shots he faced in 14.5 minutes of action. His post game interview is epic.

Sharks! The Pacific has been insane this year and the Sharks are heating up at the right time. Kane has really changed the team.

Actually I think you might be on to something here. I'm a Sabres fan and, while it was fun watching Kane, it was also clear that we were better off trying to get something for him than holding on to him. (And now that I think about it, the Sabres get another first round draft pick if the Sharks go all the way, no? Good enough reason for me then!)

Win. Win.

It’s going to be amazing moving back to Tampa and seeings the bolts play again. We really are a hockey town. Atmosphere at the games is amazing and the owner has transformed that team and city.
