Keaton Parks to NYCFC [Confirmed, 1 Year Loan with No Purchase Option]

This would be a tremendous move. I haven't seen enough of him to know how much bite he plays with, but I assume he'll be a big asset on set pieces.

Love this. Not because I think he’s a great player. I honestly know little to nothing about him. This is who the team should be targeting. Up and coming USMNT youth. Give us players we can be proud of and watch grow. Who will give the team added exposure. If he goes on to do well and challenges for a USMNT spot it’s worth every penny you pay for him.

I don't have an opinion on Parks yet but I want to believe Reyna read the offseason thread and dropped this bomb just so the deal can mysteriously fall apart next week.

My assumption is the club leaked this to counter the ill will being created by the crappy schedule. Which also makes me think it's probably going to happen, because if it doesn't then the leak was counterproductive. We know we never get leaks about deals like this domestically. Everything comes from some overseas paper via google translate. Suddenly an mlssoccer.com reporter gets a tip about NYCFC working a loan for a USMNT player an hour after that stink bomb of a schedule drops. It's no coincidence.

Your theory makes sense. I'm only skeptical because nothing about the why this club handles itself indicates to me that they would have enough awareness to understand that the schedule is shit and people might be unhappy with it. Even on the off chance that they do their consistent you will take what we give you and be grateful for it attitude says they'd feel no need to do anything about it.

So are we gonna have to pay AM to another team to sign him, or somehow did we actually own his Discovery rights - which would literally be a first???

Are you suggesting that majorleaguesoccersoccer dot com might not be doing groundbreaking investigative reporting, afflicting the comfortable, and speaking truth to power?
