2019 SuperDraft

is stuver being traded? or last year pick being let go? we have 4 GK again this year to start year

Why pay GAM for a non-GA player???

The MLS minimum salary in 2019 is $70,250. If we amortize the GAM over 3 years, we're paying the backup keeper $95,250. Makes no sense.

ETA: Stuver made $85k last season. Rawls $69k, Caldwell $54.5k

Per the MLS Show...

Comp: Nick Rimando
Strengths: Good with feet

Why trade up for a non-GA. Oof. You have to be one of the best players in the draft in order to justify spending GAM on a pick.

Every social media i'm looking at their "DRAFTED" post and all the comments are "what? why?" like consistently- every single one.

JJ Williams, best striker in the SuperDraft and Generation Adidas, was on the board. NO SENSE! NONE!

WE GOT A TRADE. FOR $75k GAM!!!! I called it!!!

But they didn't take the player they should have.

GK Luis Barraza - Marquette

He's also not GA, so it makes not sense. Add that GAM to whatever we pay him. Shitty move on a backup GK.
MY ALMA MATER!!!!! WOOOOOOO

If he's on the reserve roster there is a lower minimum. If he's on either the reserve or supplemental roster, and I bet he's on at least one of those for the first 1-2 years, then his salary counts as $0 against the cap.

I'm not saying this is a good move. But it's not utterly insane either. I think we like to keep 4 keepers, and keep 2 of them on the supplemental/reserve roster for $0 budget charge, and that probably requires cycling through those guys every couple years. We pay them dirt, but we want quality a notch or 2 above replacement level. We just paid $75k GAM for that.

to be fair to us, RB just paid more GAM for a lesser pick as well, what's up with that?

Well, it’s not like we’re even spending our allocation money.

Seriously, I think CFG just said fuck it and told Mark Booth to turn off the lights whenever he decides to leave.

I wish this team would have a bigger fanbase so each move could be scrutinized with the proper amount of eyes.

Like the Jets hiring Adam Gase this week? Sometimes if owership doesn’t give a fuck, they just don’t. No matter how many people complain.

As a Dolphins fan, I don’t like him with the Jets.

Guy is young and had tons of injuries to deal with in Miami. He could blossom at the right place.

Of course, that probably won’t be the Jets to be honest.
