D.C. (Home) - Postmatch

I'm so curious what this fandom might be based on.
Based on the fact that he seems like the only non DP player since Velazquez who can dribble around a telephone pole and have a halfway decent first touch.

Kids got good movement. He can dribble better than half the team. Has good control and a better first touch than most of the team. Makes good runs to open up space. Has a decently good cross into the box half the time, with the other half being awful into the stands. He doesn’t shoot even when clear which is a problem. And he tracks back to defend well almost all the time. All this based on his play as a winger. Kid has better fundamentals than almost the entire team, Got talent. It’s just up to training and coaching to see if it can be harvested to his full potential. He reminds me a lot of a young Marco Asensio, but before Madrid bought and loaned him out. Not saying the talent level is the same, but the playing style minus the shooting is identical.

There was talk in preseason of Dome wanting more long vertical passes in the transition to attack. We saw a number of attempts at this by our CMs and CBs early in the game but most got picked off and the players slowly stopped attempting them. Could this be what Dome was talking about when he complained about passing for no reason and players not executing the game plan? I can't say I blame the players for giving up on a tactic that kept resulting in turnovers.

I don't understand this. Why are we doing more long vertical passes to the shortest people on the field?

On top of that, while i was really critical of him while he was here, I think if we still had Berget it would have really helped us out this year. He wasnt great on the ball but he opened up a ton of space with his runs which i think a player like Mitri could capitalize on. Also, he wasnt the best at hold up play but he was decent enough.

We’ve reached quite a level of desperation if we are clamoring for Berget to save us.

(Jokes aside, Berget did make intelligent runs even if he looked like a reindeer on ice skates while running).

In the 2014 World Cup, the US team actually looked pretty coherent, despite having a manager with no coherent vision, tactical awareness, or understanding of what his players strengths are.

We have a similar problem with our manager right now. How did the US salvage that cup? They hired Berti Vogts.

Dome could be a great manager....maybe. He has certainly been around some great teams to have some knowledge. Maybe he just needs someone on his staff that is a true tactician.

Wasn’t Dome supposed to be our Berti Vogts?

Did you see any kosher stands open? Because the one up near 233B where I sit wasn't.

I wasn’t there. But the stand by 229 should be open every match but Friday and Saturdays. If they stopped with kosher food, that’s fucked. I probably won’t be there Sunday, but someone check.

There’s a kosher stand near 215. It was open and I don’t think it was the brand you are saying. But it def wasn’t Hebrew National.

It’s called Strikly Kosher, but that’s not a hot dog brand. The dogs they serve come from A&H.

Well, they had the kosher station open in Legends on Sunday.
