First of all I can't believe that we don't have a thread for probably the second most popular league in the world featuring two of the most popular teams in the world

Second https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/47678319 here is a team that does it right IMO. I know most people want to follow a champions league team with all the glamorous players but the older I get the more this kind of thing matters to me. Betis are 55 percent owned by the fans and go out of the way to make sure they bring in the next generation by making youth season tickets very affordable.

When basically the only way to see it in the US is on BeIN Sports... Holy shit, La Liga needs a real TV deal for the US market.
Agreed. PL on NBC, BuLi on Fox, and Serie A on ESPN+ make them incredibly easy to access. La Liga, for such a large league has a baby sized TV deal. I would definitely tune in to watch Valencia, Villareal, and Atletico if given the chance.

But you’d be one of the few. It wasn’t so long ago that Real and Barca were doing their own tv deals. They have the audiences and other English language coverage.

To me, as much as ease of availability sort of impacts it, what I choose to watch is more about the non-tv coverage I am exposed to.
