The final regular season meeting between NYCFC and DCU takes place at the nation's capital on Easter Sunday.

No cards vs MNU. No one is in trouble, no one is on the verge of a reduction.

Adam, I really like the way you have presented the Yellow Card status for the players - works really well, tells the story, easy to follow.

One friendly suggestion, which is to find a way to demonstrate when a player has made an appearance and not received a Yellow Card. Five of those takes a card off the pile, so it's worth rendering if it doesn't make things too confusing. Maybe a green box for a clean appearance or an "X' where they don't appear or something like that.

Wow. 24 hours til match and we have a whopping 10 (11 now) posts on the game thread.

If that isn't indication of the degree to which this team has turned off even its most passionate fans ...
Yep NYCFC Twitter very quiet too

There’s very little to ponder about the team without delving into the realm of pure fantasy. Saving that mental energy for GoT.

DCU sits 9 points ahead of us with both teams having 17 matches (51 pts) to play. This is our last match against them this season and a potential 6 point swing. If we have any belief in this team turning it around it has to start tomorrow.

If you look at the standings, I see a tight pack of top 4 developing. I’m not ready to include MTL & ORL as challengers and they both also have an extra match played to get within 2-3 points of the top. 2 wins in our next 2 matches puts us at 11 points in 8 matches (same as MTL & ORL) and within striking distance of the top 4. We’d then have back to back matches vs MTL & ORL (my 2nd tier teams) to allow us to separate into the upper pack and solidify our position towards the top of the table. With 4 straight wins that would be 17 points in 10 matches, or 1.7 ppg, on pace for a 58 point season.

I know this all seams like fantasy at this juncture. But if we can somehow pull off a win at DCU tomorrow, the next 3 matches set us up nicely to ride the momentum and pass all 3 teams currently 5- 7th place on the table:

Home v CHI
Home v ORL
Away v MTL

With DCU and CLB playing each other twice over that span, a 4 match win streak could find us within 3 points of the top of the table or better in just 2 short weeks from today. Now I’m pumped for tomorrow!

For a brief second, you had me seeing the light!

Then an image of Dome immediately popped in and it was all darkness again.

This early in the year, a four game win streak obviously changes our standing dramatically, regardless of who we play. One thing I truly agree with you on is, if we are going to be relevant this season, the turnaround better start really damn quick.
