Setting this up now. Have to leave for a Mother’s Day dinner.
Team looks great. Actually enjoyable to watch and look very fluid in attack. A larger pitch benefits us with this play style. The switches are working and giving us a chance to attack into space.

Amazing what Heber has done to this team. What an addition that will only get better.

Back line was P H E N O M E N A L today. Other than the one chance, they shut Zlatan out of the game. Probably also had to do with the fact that LA literally has zero ideas apart from get it to Zlatan...

We’ve conceded 1 in 5 games.

Beat an unbeaten home team. Feels good.

Also, glad Maxi got the pen. Barely lol

Some of our draws not being Ws is on the front office. Get Heber in right away and we’d have at least 4 more points right now.

Every time I see James Sands I’m amazed he’s only 18. Plays with the composure of a veteran. I’m sure he’s bummed but I’m quite pleased he wasn’t called up for the U-20s

Good on Johnson going after Zlatan after the game.

I absolutely hated our coaching staff chumming it up with Zlatan after the game. Parks went to try and get his jersey. Keaton should fuck off.

Thought Chanot was the man of the match.

I wonder how much anyone actually realized what had happened. We saw the the slow motion video, they hadn't

First off, if anyone thinks we are winning and are better because of Heber, whilenhe has been very good, I think that is incorrect.

I have never seen nycfc since its inception with this good of a backline. Much of it is because Chanot is playing unbelievable and also putting Ring back in his spot in front of Chanot and Callens is his beat position. We have a very good defense.

Heber is obviously very good and a big addition.

Also, we better hope Mata stays healthy all year. He is fantastic and compliments the CBs quite well.

I still feel we can play a better with possession and attack when. The opponent gives you space but I will take it.

Impressive win.

First half looked amazing.

Second half not so and was bunkering

Don’t understand why Maxi still takes PKs - seems dicey to allow when Heber and Isi are on the field.

Callens was stud taking the ball off the line.

Heber > Mitrita

Chanot fouled Ibra in the box and was fortunate the ref blew the call - Chanot absolutely kicked Ibra’s leg out.

Ref also turned the blind eye on the foul in the box at 84:30 - Twellman even called it a foul.

I love Johnson, but thought Johnson was in the wrong going for Ibra in that exchange by bumping him from behind. Doesn’t justify the hand to the throat, absolutely not, but Johnson shouldn’t have followed up going chest to chest and pushing his face in Ibra’s.
