Tommy Miles is one of the people who got a warning

Adding on that im reading the club just gave out multiple 2 year bans to some of the people given up to the club via Tommy so im assuming that Twitter post is relevant to this.

I'm not quite sure what to make of the paragraph regarding social media activity. That concerns me a bit, but I'll admit I haven't quite collected all of my thoughts on that, but I get the impression that it's quite a slippery slope if they are going to actively monitor social media accounts.

what i think theyre saying is that theyre gonna monitor social media accounts for actions that will happen at/during NYCFC games or pertaining to other NYCFC supporters. im not sure its vague.

its because in his posts he is calling out someone from the nycfc FO by name, so i assume its that.

I hope not. Because unless what they're referring to are deleted posts and worse was said, the only calling out I see there seems to be limited to criticism, and don't appear to be threatening at all.

no not threatening by any means, maybe they just dont like him mentioning them by name with an issue like this? so they get defensive about it.

So he got a warning instead of a ban because he's a rat? Or I'm reading into this wrong.

I’m also not sure what to make of the issue with him violating MLS code of conduct if he was tossed for his flag that has been allowed at other stadium(s) which previously set a precedent that it’s ok. Difficult to selectively enforce a league-wide rule for the same flag.

you talking about an FO that gives you shit for trying to have a No hate (NOH8) sign in the bleachers.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure that Colorado(?) removed an Antifa flag from the stands this past weekend.

No, the antifa or anti fascist flag. I didn’t see it so can’t comment, but evidently it’s been flown in Portland and/or other stadiums - can’t remember which Tommy tweeted photos of as precedent.

Again, there’s evidently been precedent set in Portland, so it’s interesting how selective enforcement is taking place.

ive seen it hanging around in other stadiums too, but i was referring to Nycfc FO who wont even let you put a no hate sign, even though thats not even political (at least to me) so its really nycfc FO not wanting anything political being flown

was it antifa or a pride flag? for some reason i thought it was the latter
It was both. It was a pride flag with Antifa stuff on it. They fail to mention that and play victim, when there's a clear "no political imagery/statements" policy across MLS. More specifically: “using (including on any sign or other visible representation) political, threatening, abusive, insulting, offensive language and/or gestures, which includes racist, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist or otherwise inappropriate language or behavior.”

Yes but Portland is basically the birthplace of neo-antifascism so it is accepted there.

I don't think the league should let this be a team by team scenario. They need to step up, denounce both sides altogether and have a blanket code of conduct enforced by the teams. If the teams don't comply, they should be fined or have other penalties imposed. Example: gam/tam/dp/draft implications.

This needs to be taken care of now because 2020 is right around the corner.

How is this allowed to happen but we can’t say we don’t want nazis in the stands. The club is doing the worst they possibly can and it’s driving me to the point where I’m think this team is a Russian asset. It’s the only explanation how a team could fuck something up that’s as simple as saying nazis are bad.

It’s not a both sides issue.
