NYCFC are on a bye week.

But plenty of matches that affect our standing in the East.

TFC vs DCU. I’d think about rooting for DCU at this point. I’d rather have some distance on TFC and feel we can catch DCU eventually.

VAN vs ATL. Hopefully ATL drops points on one of the longest road trips in MLS.

RSL vs TFC. Toronto on a long road trip we hope the drop points at.

PHI vs SEA. Let’s go green!

HOU vs DCU. Tough road matchup for them.

NJ vs ATL. Root for a draw.

Desperate times in Rev Land. Burns fired, Twellman reports that Bruce Arena is coming in at some role, and a vaguely credible stadium rumor emerges all in one night.

His first job as sporting director will be to try to pry some money out of the ownership.
I doubt he’d take the job if he wasn’t guaranteed funding/support. This has the potential to be very bad for the other Eastern Conference teams - Even if not destined for a championship, NE will play far better under Arena after he has a chance to tear apart that awful roster.

I caught some discussion on Jason Davis' radio show last night. Sounds like the Revs will be pumping money into the academy and youth development as part of this.

It's crazy to think the best domestic league coaches (arguably) in their respective league history are both under the same ownership: Belichick and Arena.

then arena is not the right man to coach, dude is not really known ( from the bit ive seen) to be into the whole playing academy kids in the first team. and im still not convinced kraft is even going to spend on this team.

On another note, I missed the Toronto - DC scoreless draw, but my goodness it really seems that Toronto bossed them around in every way but the score line.

71% possession
35 shots
13 shots on target

It wasn't anything close to this one sided when we got waxed by Toronto 4-0. I mean, have you ever seen anything like this shot chart?

DC played for the draw, played 8 in the box most of the game, and didn't start Rooney, Acosta or Arriola. I can't find it now but I'm pretty sure I read earlier that TFC set an MLS record for most shots in a game without scoring.

Yeah, it appears they are prioritizing the weekend match and simply wanted to steal points against toronto. Roster management.

Didn't we do something close against NE but then lost?

Just realized LAFC played Dallas on Thursday and play them again Sunday. WTF?!? That’s just awful scheduling.
