D.C. (U.S. Open Cup) - Postmatch

We need some players to return for that:

Callens, Venuzeula has Copa America 6/15, 6/18, & 6/22. They are 3rd in group behind Brazil and Peru. He could be back for 6/29 vs Philly.

Johnson, Gold Cup matches 6/18, 6/22, & 6/26. USA should make the final, which is July 5. If he’s not playing should be good to go for Portland.

Ofori, ACON matches 6/25, 6/29, & 7/2, at the least. He's across the world. Quarters are 7/10 and semis 7/14, final 7/19. Let’s pray for Ghana to have a quick exit in the group stage. Cameroon is in their group. But we’d need upsets from Guinea or Benin.

Mata, Gold Cup matches 6/16, 6/20, 6/24. Will probably make at least 3rd place match 7/4. If he’s playing may not be available till USOC match 7/10 vs Orlando.

Callens plays for Peru, not Venezuela. If Brazil defeats Peru and Venezuela beats Bolivia (both logical but not close to guaranteed results) Peru ends third with 4 points. That would likely make it one of the best 2 3rd place finishers, on to the next phase. But there's scenarios where they could end up being the worst 3rd, depending on goal difference.

I can't unsee this. For me this is the only way i will think of him now. hahaha.

Although got me thinking, care bears. Now I kinda want to see a care bear with his face as his symbol/power.

ETA:
madre de dios im going down a rabbit hole of branding ideas.... look at this:
Subway grates are such a NYC thing. Imagine a player popup thingy (phrasing!) showing up around town..... i think i missed my calling in marketing

One thing we've learned is that Chanot and Callens can play just about every day it feels like. Those guys are incredibly well conditioned. I think both can play 3 games in the daunting stretch (assuming availability) with Ibby spelling either during the cup match and the Portland match. Maxi also seems like a guy who can play 3x a ~week, and we've got guys to give him rest now.

I think our two home games against Cascadia will see shell teams with huge turnover. Seattle will still have guys missing, Portland sucks, and Dome has shown he will prioritize USOC. We need a full squad for NJ, especially Heber if fit.

Portland's record is skewed. They only played 1 home match this season. Also, they just killed the Galaxy 4-0 last night. They don't suck.
