2019 Schedule Thread

they can survive without family feud once or twice a week. especially when they show that like 5 times each day. also its now owned by disney and in if YES is dropped they can extend that hand to show them locally, or on ESPN+ like chicago.

all im saying is that if philly can do it on that same channel in their market we can do it here.

Disney has to sell YES within 90 days of purchase. But it looks like it will be purchased by Amazon and streamed there.

that feels worse, i rather have they do a chicago type deal with espn+. i really dont want to get another streaming service to watch like 12 games or so a year. if the TV presence is lost then you lose a lot.

EDIT: LionNYC LionNYC ok im gonna stop replying because they keep going to wrong thread lol

I'm hoping my Amazon Prime covers it.

You can't just take a network's programming and change it -- PIX has to want the game. If they don't want the game, they're not taking it.

Let's assume the game is either YES or FOX Sports Go, because that's the reality we find ourselves in. What's YES supposed to do when there's a Yankees game at the same time as an NYCFC game?

Was talking my9 not PIX. My9 has nothing on it plus i was using example of philly union because some of their games are shown on their my9 affiliate.

That is why i mentioned my9 as a suggestion. Of course it’s owned by fox so really up to them if they feel it’s worth it.

Edit: YES will do what it does now, put our games on foxgo, while they have post game shows on TV.

My comment doesn't change no matter whether its PIX or My9. YES has the postgame show instead of our games because even the postgame shows outrate our games. I just don't think they're doing anything wrong by putting the games on Fox Sports Go. Also, while My9 might work for local fans, YES also televises games in upstate New York and southern CT -- areas that are served by a different "my9" channel. So while My9 might work for local NYC-area fans, it's actually better for fans in southern CT and upstate New York to have the games on FOX Sports Go. Our games are actually more widely available by putting it on Fox Sports Go than they are on YES2 or My9.

I get what you’re saying, but ESPN is part of Disney, so if they have an order to divest, they probably can’t retain the streaming rights.

YES is not doing anything wrong, im not saying that. im just suggesting my9 out of a hat as an option ( union has it) since it seems this year they have had many conflicts ( at least seem more than normal). granted i think all have been home games so im at the stadium but those that cant make it its a pain going thru fox sports go, to see if they have it or not.

again, my9 is owned by fox. they maybe they can just as easily put it in fox sports go and nyc local my9? who knows. i just thinking options out there since i think TV presence is still important for this League even though the numbers are not great across the league.

no i get it, just that since this is just one team from the channel, and not the whole channel's content perhaps there is some way to get it? im being selfish here since i really dont want to shell out more cash for amazon just for a few games a year.

So if we make MLS Cup, were not guaranteed seats/tickets? What’s that about?

May as well bring back the soccer bowl then. What’s the point of hosting the match if your fans can’t attend?

It's clear from the prior MLS Cups that it's a true home team advantage to host. That being said, it's unlikely you're going to be in the exact same seats as one's season tickets, which really bothers me when it comes to Pitchside.

The MLS Cup is like the Super Bowl. The league takes tickets, the visiting team takes tickets, other teams take tickets, the sponsors take tickets.

The good news is that if we ever host, Yankee Stadium is huge compared to most of the league's venues, and we fill slightly less than half of it on average. All our season ticket holders should get seats, and I bet the vast majority get the same seats.

If you have seats in the 200s. the 100s will go to league sponsors, etc... And watch the 200s get pushed to the 300s so the 100s can get the 200s. Then no one gets the same seats except maybe SS.

I was thinking along those lines, as they can sell the 100s/200s for more money. I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed everyone up 2 sections, with 100s moving to 300s and 200s moving to 400s.

You think there’s that much of a markup from what they charge us already that it wouldn’t make sense at that point for us to say keep your damn 400 section seats in the nosebleeds and re-buy 200 level tickets with everyone else?

Also, last I checked Citi Field also has a 500 section :tonguewink:

You think there will be that much demand? I have doubts about that, though of course we're both guessing.
