The 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs

Hopefully the this time the match is actually entertaining and not a complete borefest for neutrals.

like last year's UEFA CF Final? .. snooooooze. I'm hoping for some action too. a nice 8 goal thriller would be fantastic.

think second was better but it took till like the second half to pick up.

thats what happens when two EPL teams play in final. that Man U vs. Chelsea was not great from what i remember in the 120 mins.

What a scene in Seattle today.

We have a good fanbase here, but it makes me sad that our fanbase is so much smaller than Seattle's, Atlanta's, or even LAFC's. Those of us who are into it are really into it, but we are an afterthought for the majority of New York sports fans. I don't know how you fix that, but there's no reason we should be an afterthought for 90% of NY-area sports fans.

Seattle has a lot of history when it comes to soccer, which helps their fanbase a lot. It's not like the sounders just came out of no where like NYCFC. Atlanta is surprising to me. But I guess they are rallying for sheer lack of other successful sports teams? LAFC is impressive in how professional the supporters are. They're organized and relentless, regardless of how the game is going.

We have a lot of immigrants here, but I also think they don't respect MLS and don't want to waste time going to a game. Add to that, we're playing in a baseball stadium and it just makes us more of a joke.

Given time and a new stadium, I think fan culture in NYC will grow. It wouldn't hurt if we had some standout players on the team.

I think we have a possibility if we becomes soccer fans second or third team. Bunch of immigrants here and also fans of other leagues

If it was America, Real Madrid, NYCFC or a Partizani, Liverpool, NYCFC

Seattle / west coast in general I feel that they don't get to watch European soccer much as it's too early for them...

That's why it's almost counterproductive to be catering to foreigners here. Most fans of the sport already follow other leagues/teams that are much better than MLS. It's a unique situation in America. With the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB we are seeing top level talent and play, but for those that follow other soccer leagues, watching MLS is like watching an amateur league.
