Bless Their Hearts (RBNJ Talk Here)

Maybe the Red Bulls are re-branding. Very Juventus like.

they changing colors? or is that gonna be all in red.

EDIT: I see they had a black and white stripped jersey as the metro stars at one point

Their throwback thin-striped jerseys were always nauseating. Something a cross between a prison uniform, referee kit, candy cane, barber shop, and chaotic busyness.

i don’t even recognize RBNJ anymore. To me, BWP and Robles were the two guys that symbolized the Hudson River rivalry - and those guys seemed to dial it up a notch when playing NYCFC. What was BWP’s strike rate against NYCFC? A goal a game? And Robles always seemed to make huge saves against NYC.

End of an era indeed. Not that I’m complaining.

Looking at their roster ... they might be really bad this year. Think this might be the year they miss the playoffs. Who the hell is going to score goals for them?

White. he scored goals for them last year and there's no reason to think he won't do the same this year. of course, he's not expected to be a prolific scorer or anything, but he should be able to put up decent numbers and hope that the rest can be spread out among the rest. their defense is generally in tact. in general, it's a typical red bulls roster that relies heavily on their academy and USL team. whether or not they make the playoffs depends on whether they can play the true red bulls style that marsch got them to play.

all that being said, i hope they don't make the playoffs and i hope we destroy them 8-0 in both derbies. then they won't have any comebacks anymore

The last win by the Red Bulls in NYC was the Red Bull Wedding in 2016. Since that time, they are 0-4-1 in Yankee Stadium, with the tie coming in a game when New Jersey were up two men.

In MLS games since the Red Bull Wedding, the Red Bulls have 3 wins, NYC 5 wins, and there have been 2 ties.

Let's be honest, they bolstered their record on an expansion team and started to brag about that. It's pretty pathetic. Give it a few more years with a now mature NYCFC roster and you'll start to see the records and stats start to skew towards NY.

After selling Kemar Lawrence, I had to take a look at the MetroFanatic board and it's melting down

A sampling of posts: Lolllll Fuck this team; This team is going to get boo'd on opening day; Sigh, just as I was starting to look forward to this season however slight my optimism was. At least our Jersey this year is nice and tickets will be dirt cheap.; Were going to be really bad this year.; WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING
